Guest Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 I was just buying some groceries at the supermarket and some young kid must've been at least 5 hit my trolley with his. I bit the fusker.
Captain... Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Of course it's diffeent to punching someone - which also should be more than a 3 match ban. A professional foul gets that. Yes getting punched fvcking hurts, what Suarez's bite didn't. I'm not saying he shouldn't get a longer than 3 match ban, I'm saying he should be punished by the FA, not the police and not by hysterical media overreaction. This season is over. His career should be. It's comments like this that piss me off.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Fined, and sent on an anger management course with an all-you-can-eat buffet. Sorted. I suppose it will cost him an arm and a leg . . .
potter3 Posted 23 April 2013 Posted 23 April 2013 Don't you people know it's a different culture in South America. Sinking your teeth into someone's arm is the same as ruffling their hair over there, I'm sure Suarez wasn't taught it was any different here.
ScouseFox Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Hahahaha. So biting is officially worse than racism. 10 games hahahaha.
Haydos Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Hahahaha. So biting is officially worse than racism. 10 games hahahaha. Is it not based on previous as well?
goose2010 Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 i didnt think he would get a 10 match to be honest, 6 at the most!
breadandcheese Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 10 game ban for that. Bit excessive. Would have thought they'd just copy the Dutch precedent of a 7 match ban and leave it at that.
Guest MattP Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Hahahaha. So biting is officially worse than racism. 10 games hahahaha. I rather someone called me a cracker than bit me! Think it's ten though as its based on previous.
goose2010 Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 He'll be chomping at the bit when he is able to play again though
marko Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Matt P, I think I'm correct in saying the Ajax bite wasn't taken into account. Although he does have plenty of previous without that that was considered.

I could be wrong though.

Yeah, I should think that's the most likely explanation. Poor ol' Luis, has there ever been such a 'misunderstood' individual.

Although he does have plenty of previous without that that was considered. If not then it is a bit excessive, racism, diving, cheating etc is not really related to violence so it should be based solely on the incident, which when compared to Defoe, who bit someone and got nothing, or Ben Thatcher's elbow, 8 matches, Fellani's headbutt 3 matches, Barton punching Pederson 3 matches, it sees excessive. If they did take the Ajax bite into account then it should be about 10 as that was a 7 match ban, so it should be more.
notnow john Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 I'm sure he was braced for the inclusion of extra games ban.
goose2010 Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 some crazy stats on twitter.... James Whittaker â€@northstokie32m Suarez has been in England two and a half seasons and in that time has been given half a seasons worth of bans James H Cross â€@SportsAgentJHC14m If the figures are correct then Suarez will earn £2.4m between now and his next PL match. Interesting stat of the day: Luis Suarez has never been sent-off for #LFC yet will have served 19 games worth of suspensions.
Corky Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 I'm still confused as to why he tried to bite someone. If you are wound up (which seems odd given the lead-up to the incident) then normally you lash out, verbally or physically, or push someone away. But biting just seems so bizarre.
foxfanazer Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Bit off topic but whilst on the subject of players losing it, has anybody seen the video of Pepe against Getafe? Can't upload it but he goes crazy! I think 10 games is about right to be honest. Really poor example to youngsters watching the game
ADK Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 I thought maybe he felt ivanovic was using his arm abit much to hold him off and just decided to gnaw on his arm in revenge, did seem abit bizarre.
foxfanazer Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 I thought maybe he felt ivanovic was using his arm abit much to hold him off and just decided to gnaw on his arm in revenge, did seem abit bizarre. It's just an extraordinary thought process to bite him. Throw an elbow at him, push him over, punch him even but to bite him? Very strange
Guest MattP Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 Hopefully Liverpool will grab the moral high-ground now by extending the Suarez ban by 2 games to 12 with their own disciplinary action. Serious note Liverpool are 'saddened by the severity of the ban' = pretty much sums up every that is wrong with the Club and to a wider extent the whole City. Always the victims, never your fault.
ousefox Posted 24 April 2013 Posted 24 April 2013 I think ten games is quite a lot for that, but taking into account what a cheating bastard he is i'm glad. Would be such a talented and likeable player if he wasn't such a ****
