foxfanazer Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 The Sun are reporting that if Michel Vorm leaves this summer, Laudrup will try to sign our very own Kasper! Think he'll leave of we fail to get promoted this season
Jimmy Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 I've thought we'll lose him if we don't go up for most of the season
MC Prussian Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 I think he should stay for at least another season, but if the money's right (Swansea can afford it now) and we're getting a more than suitable replacement, it's a fair deal. I guess Schmeichel would do pretty well there and he'd have a great tutor in Laudrup. It's the Denmark Connection.
Ric Flair Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 He only has a year left on his contract, we'll probably lose him for about £2 million as well. Shame as he's absolute quality most of the time. We need to go up, simple.
Callabinho Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 He will be one of a few I fear, I can see Nugent, Wes, Knocky and king leaving!
FrankieADZ Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 can see him going sadly....wouldn't be grudge him going tbf.
foxer Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 Jesus back to the days of a chris weale-esq type keeper We REALLY need promotion.
Babylon Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 He will be one of a few I fear, I can see Nugent, Wes, Knocky and king leaving! Who will be buying these players in the year FFP kicks on? The only teams being able to buy them would be relegated teams pretty much. Nobody in the prem will want them.
FrankieADZ Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 Jesus back to the days of a chris weale-esq type keeper We REALLY need promotion. personally I'd go for someone like Westwood from Sunderland...who we was linked to before we got Kasper.
Pasturesfox Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 I would be surprised he he went for two reasons, he is probably already on premiership wages and whilst be a decent keeper in the Championship he would be severely tested in the premiership, oh and the third reason , he is not six foot seven tall
Bilbo Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 I'd be v.sad to see him go. Great keeper and someone who genuinely cares about our results/how he plays which is quite rare in Football these days.
Number 6 Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 They seemed happy to play Tremmel early on in the season when Vorm was out. Did ok too. Wouldn't blame Kaspar going for first team Prem football but will be annoyed if he's sitting on a bench somewhere.
MC Prussian Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 Jesus back to the days of a chris weale-esq type keeper We REALLY need promotion. There's other keepers that are just as good and talented as Kasper. Westwood has been mentioned before. Also wouldn't mind getting a goalkeeper from a Premier League team on a season-long loan, Ã la Kuszczak at Watford. Barnsley's Luke Steele's also a great prospect. Heck, we might even go for the other Steele at Middlesbrough.
LCFC_FAN_1995 Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 I like Kasper but he has his faults, it's more than likely a loud of crap but if an offer of over £4m or something comes in, plenty more keepers out there
Chairman of the Bored Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 Flinders at Hartlepool worth keeping an eye on.

Babylon Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 I couldn't see Kasper being anything but a reserve keeper in the Prem, good in this league but I can't help think he's not dominant in the air enough for the prem.

To be fair, he's still very young for a goalkeeper - normally a career starts to blossom in the late 20ies, early 30ies and in that regard, Schmeichel has loads of potential. He'll improve in many, many aspects over the years. He's class.
indierich06 Posted 22 April 2013 Posted 22 April 2013 He's a good keeper, but he has plenty of flaws in his game - if the money is right then I'd have no problem with us selling him.
