Barry Hayles

Recommended Posts

Last night I had the dubious pleasure of watching the Eastleigh v Truro City game. Up front for Truro was one Barry Hayles - what a laugh! To think he was once considered good enough to play for us. He spent the whole game fouling and moaning. I swear he only broke into a run once - and that was when he scored. Bit of quality actually, he spotted a back pass before anyone else in the stadium (I use the word stadium very loosely!!) was on it in a flash, rounded the keeper and ran it in. Still, it looked as if he was enjoying himself, and at least he's still playing.

He's Non-League's Steve Howard.

Remember his goal against Palace to win a game that was destined to end 0-0? That goal, his celebration and Warnock's subsequent reaction was absolutely priceless :)

I remember that game as I spent the whole of that game just slagging him off, and then he scored, like that, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. In the end I cried as we got relegated.
