Bert Posted 15 October 2014 Posted 15 October 2014 First few weeks always are dog tits. You don't see any of the decent candidates because they just sit back doing what they need to do to progress whilst the ones that think they're all that go billy big bollocks because they're on tv.
Rob1742 Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 This programme highlights the flaws us humans have. Trying to employ the right people is an absolute nightmare. These will have been chosen from thousands as potential candidates to drive a business forward, yet they couldn't create a product, and the pitches were very very poor. These are supposed to be top operators. Just shows you our flaws and also shows you that in a lot of cases, pure energy and determination can get you an awful long way. Most of these folks will be earning well, all down to self belief and determination and many of their flaws will be hidden by their pure effort.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 Just watched it, Lauren continues to amaze and the Aussie (I think he's Australian) seems to have his head screwed on. Still prefer the American version, mind. Donny Trump fired a team of five once because they were so bad, the ****ing baller. He also fired someone for making a self-deprecating joke, KING.
Raj Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 passed it sell by date now. same old scenarios same old boring punchlines. wanna be celebrities. all really want to be on im a celebrity or get there tits out in heat mag. aint seen it for years now...last one was probably our stringer!!!
Fatty Arbuckle Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 Steven went from speaking through the whole task to not saying a word throughout Scottish guy was terrible and had a constantly annoying expression. The leader of the girls was absolutely shocking, both in the pitch and her leadership. If it wasn't the Apprentice, neither product would've received an order and it is literally an hours worth of empty cliches which mean absolutely nothing. Great entertainment. He was pulling some right faces wasn't he....looked like a pilled up bulldog for half the episode! I seem to have so much anger towards nearly all of them but I can't stop watching it for some reason. That forehead though is just ridiculous, I've never seen anything like it.

Followed by looking like a school kid who was about to cry after being told off
David Guiza Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 Mark and James seem like the only two males with half a brain cell at the moment, and the women aren't a great sight better. As Bert says, the early weeks is just a matter of getting rid of the biggest idiots and pretenders.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 my favourite moment of the ep aside from lauren being an absolute delight was the guy that worked for jd's face as the irish gal (decent) modelled that blazer hes thinking "dat assssss"

Where can you watch the American version when it's on. I saw one a few years back where trump had told someone he was safe from being fired. The cocky bastard then put himself back in the mix thinking he would be safe but to look good and got himself fired as a result. Trump saying something along the lines of he couldn't hire someone who when in a secure situation would put themselves back at risk.

BBC One show series every so often but they're haphazard in how they do it, the most recent series they screened little over a year ago was from like 2010. The tasks are always much better too, far too much time is spent in the boardroom in the British version.
The Quick Brown Fox Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 What I don't like about this now is how it's a business partnership on offer. Before the series starts Sugar must know who he wants to invest in. In my opinion it was better when it was a job on offer.
Rincewind Posted 17 October 2014 Posted 17 October 2014 It is done mainly with entertainment in mind. They only show a fraction of what goes on during the day, Alan Sugar will have some idea of the front runners because of his interest in certain types of buisness. The others are there for audience bashing. I watched a celebrity American version one where one side were spying on the other side. Even got one to defect to find out the plans. Forget who won now. I know there was some English guy whose name escapes me but comes across as self centred sometimes.
Rincewind Posted 19 October 2014 Posted 19 October 2014 Watching the double header. Like Sugars comment about one of the past jobs 'Arsenal aFC adviser. Not a good thing to admitting considering Sugar is a Spurs fan. Some two faced individuals. Slagging each other off then when they get back to the house they are all friends again. Perfect qualities to run a business. Don't know why that Steven was blamed although the leader bottled out bringing back after Sugar said only bring them back for legitimate reasons.

Last year it seemed like Alan wanted to invest in one business but found at the last minute that the guy didn't own it and got stuck with Dr Leah

Jimothy Posted 22 October 2014 Posted 22 October 2014 Lindsay! "I'm quite happy to let you do it all." Lazy bitch!
Jimothy Posted 22 October 2014 Posted 22 October 2014 Can't be just me that noticed Sarah kept asking men, and not the type of men that looked like they bought scented candles, if they wanted to buy scented candles?
Sir Fynwy Posted 22 October 2014 Posted 22 October 2014 The Apprentice is Crystal Maze for supposed business types, laughably shit.
MooseBreath Posted 22 October 2014 Posted 22 October 2014 £1,500 quid profit in a couple of days selling candles is pretty good business, fair play
Sir Fynwy Posted 22 October 2014 Posted 22 October 2014 £1,500 quid profit in a couple of days selling candles is pretty good business, fair play It's not if you have 8 people to pay on top of it.
MooseBreath Posted 22 October 2014 Posted 22 October 2014 It's not if you have 8 people to pay on top of it. True, but you don't need four people to sell to a hotel. They could have sold more or less the same with two or three people.
