Father Ted Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 I would love to have Richard Dunne here, unfortunately it's not worth the gamble when we already have two injury prone centre backs. However, I'm sure he will become a monster in the Championship this season for some club given the time.
rico Posted 10 June 2013 Posted 10 June 2013 Harlee Dean from Brentford, sounds like a Pearson type player http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11719/8769440/Transfer-news-Brentford-s-Harlee-Dean-wanted-by-several-Championship-clubs
noonston Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 People on twitter saying Danny Drinkwater has been told he can leave. Not been on the forum much recently. is this true?
nickm Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 Why Not Bacary Sako Why haven't we shown some intent by going for somebody like him, we haven't had a combative midfielder for ages and he'd fit the bill?
stevelcfc Posted 12 June 2013 Posted 12 June 2013 Why haven't we shown some intent by going for somebody like him, we haven't had a combative midfielder for ages and he'd fit the bill? You know sako is a winger, right? We are currently linked to his mate, Karl Henry, who is about as 'combative' as you get, ask Andy King!

rico Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 http://www.thepfa.com/transferlist/listedplayers/sortbydate/-1/-1/-1/-1/premier%20league/1/ has Dean Whitehead escaped from a loony bin?
ealingfox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 has Dean Whitehead escaped from a loony bin? No, he was released from it as he's out of contract.
Harry - LCFC Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Harlee Dean from Brentford, sounds like a Pearson type player http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11719/8769440/Transfer-news-Brentford-s-Harlee-Dean-wanted-by-several-Championship-clubs I like his name too, sounds like a racehorse. Not seen him play though so not much to comment, although he did score a nice header in the PO final. Sign him up!
ronnup Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Roysten Drenthe to Reading!!!! That would've been sublime.
KFS Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Roysten Drenthe to Reading!!!! That would've been sublime. Oh my that's an absolute steal of a signing.
GingerrrFox Posted 13 June 2013 Posted 13 June 2013 Oh my that's an absolute steal of a signing. Royston Drenthe is a joke of a professional. Gifted footballer but an absolute liability.
Father Ted Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Roysten Drenthe to Reading!!!! That would've been sublime. That is an unreal signing! Add that to Bridge and I think Reading are favourites for me now.
tommyh Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Royston Drenthe is on a free and Reading are on about offering him a contract!! Quality player for Everton 2 seasons ago and also for real madrid before that! Also only 26!! Would have originally thought he would be way above our budget but seeing as reading are offering him a contract it cant be that extaordinary can it?? Would absolutly love him here next season, can play comfortably on either wing or centre mid, set piece expert and just class!!!
rico Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Reading will have parachute payments burning a hole in their pockets
Harry - LCFC Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Sounds an arrogant chap, probably not the sort to appreciate the Championship.
ealingfox Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Injury-prone, badly behaved and a poor attitude. Not a Pearson player and I think he might struggle against physical Champ defences, the guy is tiny. Seems a stellar signing for Champ level but can't see him tearing it up all that much, there's a reason nobody better wants him. Also reading his Wiki his stats are poor - clocked just 15 goals and 13 assists in 8 seasons.
Darkon84 Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 The guys got major attitude problems, certainly not a 'Pearson' type of player, as people say. Shame really, as he had bags of potential at one point, absolutely tore the Euro U21 champs a new arsehole just before he went to Madrid.
sphericalfox Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 On his wiki page In March 2012, Drenthe was given a leave of absence on compassionate grounds and, upon returning, he reported late for training. This resulted in manager David Moyes omitting the player from Everton's FA Cup semi-final squad. He was caught on CCTV breaking into the training ground with two birds whom he proceeded to nail in the gym[22] and was told to stay away from the club.[23
RizLCFC Posted 14 June 2013 Posted 14 June 2013 Frederic Veseli, released by Man Utd, centre half, loads of potential, surprised he got released, get it done Nige!
dayday Posted 15 June 2013 Posted 15 June 2013 In the Nottingham evening post,Forest are chasing Chris McCann who has rejected a new contract but face rivalry with Leicester City and Wigan for his signature. Really hope we are trying to sign him, good player.
