NottsFox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 If Jordan Rhodes can be sold for like 9 million, then I personally want us to push for a massive sum for Kasper if he does unfortunately go.
Leicester_Gav Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2332389/Hull-City-set-raid-Leicester-goalkeeper-Kasper-Schmeichel.html I for one, want to see Kasper between the sticks for us next season, but 4m has got to be tempting for our owners, given that we've splashed out a lot on other players, and we got him for around 1m. Would also help the financial fair play rules! Thoughts?
Simo86 Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 The way I see it is if KS isn't willing to sign a new contract then we sell him for as much as possible. No point in letting his contract run down. I don't want to see him go but he is very much replaceable
Happy Fox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I'd say get stuff to them myself for the way they was when we tried to buy off them. tho i see it is in the Daily Mail....for the way they seem to have a scatter gun approach to stuff atm I take most stuff from them with a pinch of salt. I reckon he is off personally key thing is we will make a profit which is good news! been quoated in the mirror as £2m, first time ,£4m seems a decent a price to me, and we could reinvest that towards a decent goalkeeper and another position or two, that we need strength in depth.
NottsFox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I for one would like more than 4! Push for 5 and above, considering people like Jordan Rhodes, though he is quality, are being sold for 9 million.
JohnnyB Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2332389/Hull-City-set-raid-Leicester-goalkeeper-Kasper-Schmeichel.html Hull City are launching a £4million bid for Leicester City goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel. Manager Steve Bruce has been unable to agree a deal with Fulham for loanee David Stockdale and has turned to Schmeichel, 26, although Leicester will not sell him cheaply. The Dane made his international debut earlier this year and has one year left on contract. Hull were recently reported as not being prepared to stump up £4 million for David Stockdale, a goalie who has had a good season for them and helped get them promoted. Why would they suddenly be prepared to stump up the same £4 Mill for Kasper? Hull are also being linked with a move for Shay Given - a proven Prem goalie on a free versus a relative newcomer for £4million? Something doesn't add up.

Mark_w Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 That's a lot of money, Kasper is almost certainly one of the high earners, if they're offering £4m then we really should be accepting. That could easily fund 2 or 3 signings, so I'd be happy with it as long as Pearson/Walsh have a good replacement keeper in mind. It's probably bullshit though.

He's been told he can leave, but that doesn't mean it'll be for free. I doubt he'll fetch a lot though

Stevosevic Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Anyone else think Hobbs might return this summer? We need a CB or two and will he play in the Premiership?

Babylon Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Anyone else think Hobbs might return this summer? We need a CB or two and will he play in the Premiership? Could very well see him return as part of the deal if you ask me. Purely a guess on my part.
whitlock Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 We sell Kasper, and manage to shift pretty much all the big earners, Becks Danns etc, Pearson would have a fair amount of cash for transfers and wages. I'd be happy to even have a loanee for the season, some one like Stockdale who has been here before or maybe someone in the Man United ranks. Not the end of the world if Kasper does leave us, but I don't think that is the right move for himself.
RowlattsFox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 £4m is reasonable. How much did Stoke buy butland for?
NottsFox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Ask Hull for 3 million and Hobbs, I would take that. Decent amount of cash and CB situation sort of solved. Although I can't see them letting Hobbs go...
RowlattsFox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Could very well see him return as part of the deal if you ask me. Purely a guess on my part. More likely to be Fryatt if anyone.
Banks Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Again as people have said, 3m and Hobbs would be a good deal for us.
Ric Flair Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 £4 million is a decent price for a player who has 1 year left on his deal and can and probably will walk away for nothing if he's not sold. I love Kasper and ideally want him to stay but for that money, which is 4 times what we paid for him then it's a no brainer. We have to sell before we buy i'd have thought and this money, along with the wages saved is almost essential. He, along with Knockaert is our most valuable asset right now, it's sad but it's the sign of the times and i'd rather Schmeichel go than Tony as we need 2 or 3 more players which we can get with £4 million.
Babylon Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 More likely to be Fryatt if anyone. Doubt it after his injury, maybe on loan.... whilst we've never really improved upon those two I don't think recreating a team from 3 years ago is the way forward.
