Swarles Barkley Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I personally think kasper will be holding out for a bigger club. In my opinion hull will be relegated next year so hes just going to end up back in the championship anyway.
whitlock Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I would try and push Kasper for a new contract at first, he's not worth £4m now but has every chance to progress and be a top keeper. If he's not interested in a new contract then he needs to be sold this summer. I think he will leave.
Ric Flair Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Fryatt is a terrible squad player, he either has to be first choice and the team built around him or not used at all. We've seen that with him before during different regimes.
Babylon Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I would try and push Kasper for a new contract at first Problem is, we need to cut costs. Any offers we make will be on reduced terms to what they are getting now I'm afraid. That's why I think it's fairly likely those with one year left will be gone before the season starts or gone on a free at the end of it.

Happy Fox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 I wouldn't take that gamble of letting Kasper run down his contract we need the money!
teblin Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Think if we get anywhere near an offer like that he will be gone. As people have said we need to cut costs.
Jace Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Think we would need to charge Hull an extra £1 million pound we don't do business with Leicester transaction fee
AKCJ Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Some noise coming from Besiktas that Hull have bid about £2m for Alan McGreggor and they've accepted.
StrovolosTiger Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Think we would need to charge Hull an extra £1 million pound we don't do business with Leicester transaction fee Whilst I can see Schmeichel leaving you this Summer I doubt very much it will be to us. Whether you think we will come straight back down or not is irrelevant to him joining us; once in the Premier League he is well and truly in the shop window and playing for a side where he is likely to be kept busy is going to be attractive to him as, if relegated, he will simply jump to a better Premiership side. We need two goalies and at the moment it looks like it may well be Given and McGregor. I believe Villa are paying Given off the remaining 3 years of his contract and want £1m for him and if the reports are correct we have agreed a E2m fee for McGregor, although all the leaks are from the Turkish side not over here. Fulham want £4m for Stockdale and he's not worth half that. If you can get him on loan for a season he would be OK, he's reliable but won't make unbelievable or spectacular saves. To be honest there seems to be plenty of adequate goalies around at the moment.

I still think Swansea will come in for Kasper if Vorm goes but I doubt they'd offer the reported £4 million.
Bilbo Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Is there any actual evidence regarding this? People are acting as if the club has made a statement about him leaving.
Larry_LCFC Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Ian Stringerâ€@StringerSport18m Schmeichel on Sporten.dk "I'm #lcfc player stil tryin to get over what happened. I can wait I'm still young. It's nothing I'm thinkin about"

F**K off Dull £1m Tigers have made a £1million offer for Foxes stopper Kasper as they strengthen their squad for Premier League challenge Premier League new boys Hull have made an opening £1million offer for Leicester keeper Kasper Schmeichel. Tigers manager Steve Bruce slapped in the bid for the 26-year-old son of Manchester United goalkeeping legend Peter Schmeichel, and is now waiting on a response from his former Championship rivals. Bruce has been linked with Aston Villa's vastly experienced keeper Shay Given and is also keen on Sheffield Wednesday’s ex-England custodian Chris Kirkland.

Callabinho Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Kiss of death that, usually that means they are off.
Happy Fox Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Bruce needs to wake up and smell the coffee, £1m bid has been rejected come back again with £4m and we can start talking.
Bettsj2 Posted 29 May 2013 Posted 29 May 2013 Lets be realistic. Kasper has 1 year left on his contract and is probably quite a high earner. If he stays and we dont go up, he leaves for free. He wont sign a new contract unless we up the money significantly which we are not going to do. Basically, if anybody matches the fee we paid for him (around £1.5m?) then we'll happily take it. If he had 3 years left of a 5 year deal, it would be £3m minimum but we have nothing to bargain with at this point. If a Premier team come in for Kasper, he'll want to go.

MPH Posted 30 May 2013 Posted 30 May 2013 If the offer is just 1m then we'd be better off keeping him for a year and letting his contract run down. At least then we have a chance of keeping him if we make it to the Prem.
