purpleronnie Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Did you support Leicester in 2008/09? . I meant with teams other than ourselves. As holloway didnt actuall endear himself to our fans. seriously? He won it with us you ****ing moron. see the next post moron.
The Doctor Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 . I meant with teams other than ourselves. As holloway didnt actuall endear himself to our fans. see the next post moron. Ok then - why leave us out of it? Does promotion not count if it's won with us - ****ing stupid criteria to apply. Why not say with none london teams, then both have 1 promotion to their name...
Corky Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 . I meant with teams other than ourselves. As holloway didnt actuall endear himself to our fans. see the next post moron. Was a shame it didn't work out, he's been fine since he left, but his time with us was so bad, dull football, few goals and ultimately a relegation. Having said that, I admire the way he learnt from his experience and doesn't seem too bitter about our club.
RowlattsFox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Never really get managerial comparisons, holloway has been a manager for longer than Pearson so he's had more opportunities for promotion. Pearson has never been relegated.
purpleronnie Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Agree, it just didnt work at Leicester but that doesnt make him a bad manager but it seems a lot of leicester fans cant see past his time with us.
ousefox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Seeing Palace get to the final makes me feel sick, we could easily have beaten them. Hope Watford go up. Like Zola and don't care about the loan player situation, they have been clever and not broken any rules. It's a risky approach (you always hear people talking about how long it takes a team to gel) and his worked well in their favour. Fair play to them.
MooseBreath Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Whoever goes up is coming straight back down, that much is certain
Tom17LCFC Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Palace, I've always had a slight soft spot for them, coupled with my new found hate for Watford.
ADK Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Agree, it just didnt work at Leicester but that doesnt make him a bad manager but it seems a lot of leicester fans cant see past his time with us. I think he's bang average but lucked into an easy job. Palace have got a great squad really and were flying well before Holloway got there. They have gone backwards since he joined imo, if the season was another few games long they'd have been outside the play offs.
NewburyFox Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Watford for me, purely because I hate the thought of Holloway in the Premier League again.
DennisNedry Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 I like absolutely everything about Crystal Palace except for their manager. I hate absolutely everything about Watford except for their manager. So Palace for me.
Fox92 Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 In one hand, I don't care because it's not us in the final. On the other hand, seeing Watford's 'team' doesn't justify something.
Vardinhio Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 on the flip side if Watford stay down next year they will just loan more scum and be even stronger
wurmer Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 Ideally a meteor strike on wembley, but failing that would have to be Watford. Can't support that clown Holloway.
Kitchandro Posted 13 May 2013 Posted 13 May 2013 I don't want to join the Palace love in that exists on this forum but I would prefer them to go up more than Watford. Call me bitter if you like, but I'd love to see the 16,000 Watford fans go to Wembley only to witness an excruciating defeat. I'm not sure why Holloway deserves a load of praise for taking over a team in 1st position and leading them to a 5th place finish. That's regression isn't it? Their form was nearly as bad as ours on the run in.
Finnegan Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Palace have been wank lately but they were the only team this season to completely, legitimately play us off the park at home. Monster of a side, physical but skilful. Plus, their fans may be a bit delusional in thinking they're some sort of creative band of poets but they're a bit more tolerable than Watford.

Fair play to their fans, they do create one of the best home atmospheres in the Championship. They were excellent when they came to us and I don't think they'd have had to bother with the play-offs if Freedman hadn't gone to Bolton, Holloway has hindered their development in my view.
z-layrex Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 As much as Hollowhead annoys me, I hope Palace destroy those tinpot, loan system abusing, Udinese B team c***s at Wembley.

There's an atmosphere? I didn't notice that when I went, must of missed it.
ozleicester Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 Watford play a super game, Zola has the makings of a quality manager...pissed off as i am, im hoping Watford.
BHAFC Braders Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I'm going for the "pretend the play offs didn't happen" mentality - as seen by our players last night.
Happy Fox Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I'm going for the "pretend the play offs didn't happen" mentality - as seen by our players last night. Likewise.
Father Ted Posted 14 May 2013 Posted 14 May 2013 I hope Watford go up. As much as I hate them with a passion now, if they stay down, they will be challenging for the league next year. I also cannot stand another year of the media bumming off Holloway, did my head in when Blackpool were in the Premiership. Also, if Palace don't go up, I can see them coming midtable with no Zaha and Murray out injured for the beginning of the season I'd imagine.
