AKCJ Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 It was. It seems he refused to finish the medical so the club have told him to sling his hook Did they get these out?
RedHux Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 They've turned down our first offer. Which is not something I'm especially disappointed with. My boro supporting mate has offered to drive him here and doesn't want anything for the petrol.

My boro supporting mate has offered to drive him here and doesn't want anything for the petrol. Despite that, if you sign him there'll be a shitload of 'wouldnt have minded him here', 'another one we've missed' and 'Forest look strong this year' on here.
RedHux Posted 11 July 2013 Posted 11 July 2013 Oh I imagine so. When in reality all we've done is re sign a lump of a forward, two right backs and some young lad who may or may not be any good. Our twitter feed has been spinning in furious circles since this Algerian chap was first mentioned. At first he was shit and unproven at this level, then as it looked increasingly likely we would sign him his ability increased ten fold until the whole thing was cancelled and he became a shit trouble maker who we don't want anyway.I hate the close season.

Socks Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 I was about to call bullshit on your post but according to this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/10120670/Championship-Summer-Transfers-2013.html You are spot on - deary me! exactly this is the reality, we will struggle this season coming with all of the teams building around us.... even Coventry(gip) are mentioned in the presss more than us....
XLM Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 QPR in for Saviola. I genuinely feel sorry for their fans - never liked Tony Fernandes and Harry Redknapp is literally banking the near future of the club on getting promoted this year. Their fans will be left with the consequences of FFP when, inevitably their players feel that they are far bigger than the club and QPR finish 13th.

Were absolutely tossers when they were in the championship plus they have that stupid song when they score.
Soar Fox Posted 12 July 2013 Posted 12 July 2013 Richard Dunne supposed to be close to signing for QPR also.
Jugsi Posted 13 July 2013 Posted 13 July 2013 There are some good centre backs on that list that have moved for free, really surprised we haven't done any business. I like Berra, if not we'll be loaning players to make up the squad. Not looking forward to the season, can see Gallagher, Wellens, Danns all featuring which will be going backwards.

Doubt it, our first choice midfield assuming no one joins would be: Knockaert King James Marshall

NathanC93 Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Knockaert King James Schlupp. Knockaert King James Dyer
Danizen Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Boro are trying to get Will and Michael Keane on loan. Greedy ****ers.
RizLCFC Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 Boro are trying to get Will and Michael Keane on loan. Greedy ****ers. Why are they greedy? We should be doing exactly the same.
Legend_in_blue Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 This thread makes for a depressing read every time I look at it. Close it.

BHAFC Braders Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 So much for our foreign invasion of purchases - Matty Upson from Stoke Adam Chicksen from MK Dons.
LCFC FOX Posted 14 July 2013 Posted 14 July 2013 So much for our foreign invasion of purchases - Matty Upson from Stoke Adam Chicksen from MK Dons. 2 more than us...
SmithyFox12 Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 Richard Chaplow set to sign for Millwall tomorrow, going through medical now.
indierich06 Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 I was about to call bullshit on your post but according to this: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/10120670/Championship-Summer-Transfers-2013.html You are spot on - deary me! Is there really anyone in that list who remotely scares you? Grant Holt and Royston Drenthe - and even those two are maybes. Otherwise, it's all just average players switching clubs for free or for next to nothing. There's not a side in the Championship that I think we should be afraid of just because they've signed a couple of freebies. Our squad is still among the best in this league, I really don't see any signs that we're being left behind.
Ali Campbell Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 Agree - the premier league sides seem strong but look where wolves, Blackburn and Bolton finished last season! All sacked their managers and all brought loads of players in the close season. Palace signed like 2 players from a team that finished 17th to a team that got promoted. Leicester need to play as a team and get the big egos out
Bettsj2 Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 Above two posts are spot on for me. Just making a signing doesnt actually make you a stronger squad, just a bigger one.
David Guiza Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 Haven't spotted it anywhere else, apologies if so, but just seen that Forest are close to getting Jack Hobbs. Would imagine that will end any interest in Wes, and a good coup for them.
