AaronH Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 Some sources claiming he's forcing a move to Norwich. Lets hope so, should be in the prem
Dan Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 Gary Hooper to QPR is on the cards, that will be rather annoying The 'annoying' thing for me is that when QPR inevitably go bust you'll get their owners begging sympathy. Sorry but they are bar none, the biggest joke club in England. They're a complete disgrace to the game.

Kitchandro Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 There are better CB's at this level than Hobbs imo, with Morgan and Whitbread (provided he can keep fully fit) we would probably have the best Centre half partnership pairing in this division so nothing to worry about. I haven't seen anything to suggest that Whitbread is as good as Hobbs was. I really liked him when he was here, disappointing to see him go to Forest.
indierich06 Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 I still stick by saying we should of accepted 2.5mil and Hobbs for Kasper. I think Morgan and Hobbs partnership would of been so good. Instead that will end up being Forests parntership . Time to move on IF we were even offered that, all we ever found out was that it was cash and a player. No idea how much cash, no idea which player.
Corky Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 Don't be knocking our rigorous medicals. 3 nailed on signings have fled over two seasons when confronted with whatever it is we do to them. Old Boydy didn't, because he couldn't see where he was going.
Staff Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 I really do not understand all the love for Hobbs. He never brings the ball down, not even in league 1 when he had even more time on the ball than in the championship. He always looks to put his head on it, inevitably giving it to the opposition. And he is slow! Let F***** have him, I really could not care.
Ali Campbell Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 Yeah he is rubbish yet he is a premier league player having played in all of hulls games and Leicester are still in the championship. Only thing that annoys me is he is clearly going for the money forest are going to offer him rather test himself at the highest level!

Bruce has told him that he won't be playing too much and the fact that Hull accepted a bid shows that he's not really wanted. Nothing to do with money in my opinion.
alanf0x Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 Jack Hobbs signed for forest.... Hull were never going to do business with Leicester were they!
RedHux Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 It does however mean we won't be bothering you for Wes anymore.
Sharpe's Fox Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 Would have loved to see Hobbs here and it will be sad to see him playing in Forest shirt. We can at least consign ourselves knowing that they are gutted seeing Wes bossing it for us
StrovolosTiger Posted 16 July 2013 Posted 16 July 2013 We've also let him go for nothing! He was offered as part of the KS thing but you wanted all cash. Sorry to see him go as he desrved his try at the big time, but the bottom line is that Bruce doesn't think he's good enough for the Prem. Very reliable and thoroughly professional lad is Jack. We all wish him well for his career.
Bausor Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 nige obviously doesn't want him then for him to have been offered to us already and turn it down, and if he went on a free was this known to him?
ronnup Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I think Nigel likes Whitbread. Think we'll see him get his chance this year
RizLCFC Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I think Nigel likes Whitbread. Think we'll see him get his chance this year The thing with Whitbread is he always seems to get injured when he starts to find his feet, even a slight niggle keeps him out for 3-4 weeks.
lgfualol Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I have a feeling that Forest will be top 2 this year. Made some solid transfers.

Whitbread is a walking injury. He's so fragile that you are bang on if he gets a muscle pull that would usually keep someone out for a week or 2 he's gone for nearly a month. He can't be relied upon to start week in week out in the Championship and I think Nigel knows this.
Danno Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I have a feeling that Forest will be top 2 this year. Made some solid transfers.Won't be anywhere near top 2, shit strikers and no wingers. Will be hard to beat I bet but wont exactly score many.

Guest MattP Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 I have a feeling that Forest will be top 2 this year. Made some solid transfers. With Squads as they are it's hard to see anyone toppling QPR and Wigan, could be like that season a few years back when West Brom and Newcastle sprung away from the rest. I expected QPR to collapse but if their squad plays to anything like they can they should easily be top two.
Father Ted Posted 17 July 2013 Posted 17 July 2013 In all honesty, Steve Bruce is an idiot if he thinks his son and Paul McShane can cut it in the Prem ahead of Hobbs!
