Are we supposed to feel sorry for this guy?

Seems to be an Arsenal fan as well if things weren't bad enough.

There we go then! Might have organised a whip-round if he was a Fox

My auntie Carmel used to answer the phones on one of those chat lines .

She didn't look anything like the girls on babestation  :)

This man should be tarred and feathered in the town centre.

What a cock. I don't know what I dislike about him the most - the fact he's trying to pass the blame onto everyone else, the complete hypocrisy of him being "embarrassed" and then getting his "story" published, the almost certain lie that he had a girlfriend in the first place, his criticism of Vodafone who've done nothing wrong...

There should be a law passed for people like this whereby bankruptcy is refused and they are forced to be bailed out by Wonga.com or other loan sharks. Human rights are completely waived until the debt is paid off in full

I actually know of this guy, goes by the nickname Bod...

Always been a iffy kinda bloke, he's harmless but very stupid and this sums him up in many ways lol....

Now while i think he's stupid and knew what he was doing, Vodafone were also to blame for not cutting him off when they realised just how crazy he was going and how much was being run up! I guess that's why they cut the bill down from 91 grand to 30 odd as a goodwill gesture

But like i said he knew what he was doing by getting his previous sim replaced for another because they had supposedly cut him off, also to offer 1 quid a month is a total pisstake but him offering that doesn't surprise me either lol... My missus actually stopped him one day and asked him all about it and the stuff he was coming out with was deluded to say the least!

I'm not gonna go into it all on a forum but trust me it was funny....

I'm not a fan of this Nanny state idea where people are not held accountable for their actions...

As an aside, by NOT cutting him off they have allowed him to go into bankruptcy which if I am not mistaken means he will have to pay off much less than if he had been stopped half way through by them - I don't see what Vodafone have done wrong, here?

Also note that he has managed to wrack up 55,000 pounds of debts elsewhere.... Are all the other creditors to blame too?

But what you are saying about him is a grey area as he is clearly having issues.... Some mental health issues by the sound of it.... so where do we draw the line? Should people with mental health issues be excused as they don't know what they are doing? That's a tough call to make as that will bring in more grey areas....

I guess what i am trying to say is Vodafone along with everyother network has a cut off allowance, i think it's about 400 quid? so why didn't Vodafone cut him off as soon as he hit that? how could a huge company not notice the high amount of calls being made but it was allowed to continue? Did he just fluke it? was it incompetence on Vodafone's part? how was this truly allowed to go on and on??

As for mental health issues? honestly? i wouldn't fully know, he's very deluded though in what he's been saying and is lapping up this attention, hence why he's going to every paper in the book, amongst other things i was told... Yes he should be held accountable aswell as Vodafone in my honest opinion...

He knew what he was doing and he should have stopped, but Vodafone failed to stop this aswell! How could anyone get away with that amount being billed up? obviously his account was not being monitored enough? how could a huge company like Vodafone let this go on???

Jonny Stevenson's ex girlfriend Lori works on babestation. Me, his brother and a few mates of ours rang her one night and got his brother to make out it was Stevo.

Her face was a picture seeing her listening to us on the phone.

someone like a bank could freeze an account if there is more than usual activity on it because of the risk of fraud. Maybe other companies should do the same. If somebody stole my phone (i might be out the country) I would like to be informed of my bill situation.

I would expect Vodafone flagged up the excessive usage and tried to contact him to check it was him using his phone and it hadn't been stolen or something, if not then they should have done, but seeing as they blocked him you can't really blame them, although they are idiots for letting it get that high and not demanding payments and taking sterner action sooner, not sure how it works but I'm guessing the chat line has the contract with Vodafone and Vodafone has the contract with silly bollocks, so they could be seriously out of pocket.

So what are the consequences of bankruptcy these days? Will he be able to get another phone contract?

Isn't one of Schlupp's mates on one of the babe channels?

Companies should i agree, like i said he's stupid for what he did but Vodafone should have been alot more on the ball and should have really stopped this before it went outta control

Possibly yeah and exactly, he's an idiot and so are they for letting it happen!

Very unlikely!

I understand what you're saying... but what im basically saying is why should a privately run company cut off their service to anyone? Surely the individual needs to be responsible for their own actions? In your own words.. " he knew what he was doing?" I just don't get this whole concept that people who knew what they were doing can get themselves in trouble and then start pointing the finger elsewhere and  start blaming other people for their own mistakes?

IMO This man and no one else is responsible for running up this huge bill....
