enex Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Speculation has suggested that Ipswich Town and Leicester City are keen on taking the former Nottingham Forest centre-half back to England. http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11787/8803368/Kelvin-Wilson-waiting-for-news-on-contract-extension-at-Celtic
Fox92 Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Good defender at this level, and still only 27. I'd certainly take him here.
MC Prussian Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Imagine him and Morgan in the centre - defending it like a boss. Good age, has played on the European stage and has Champions League experience (allegedly neutralized Messi to great effect in their 2-1 home win against Barcelona - if you believe Wikipedia). As long as he or his agent don't demand a ridiculously high fee, a perfect fit.
Ric Flair Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 I've always thought St Ledger would play for Celtic one day, straight swap. Job done.
RowlattsFox Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 I'm sure we are just being linked with same players as last year. Ward, zakauni and now Wilson.
ozleicester Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Now theres a signing we can all enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWBIrKgC-d4

Creative to say the least It's a no from me, watched him a few times and he's been awful, one of the last games they played against Rangers he pretty much tossed the match on his own, looked like a poor mans Bamba.
suffolk fox Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Didn't he score an own goal against Spurs in the 82 semi final at villa Park? Just a thought?
Narborough_fox Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 We were linked with him last year which suggests that Nige has been a long time admirer or that this is regurgitated news. Either way, no thanks although I said the same about Morgan when we signed him and look how he turned out.
Bettsj2 Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 NP likes his centre backs like he likes his men. Big, black and tall.
RedHux Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Imagine him and Morgan in the centre - defending it like a boss. Yea, imagine that Kelvin has improved over his time at Celtic and even when he thought he was rio Ferdinand when he was with us his mobility complimented wes's lack of same quite well. He'd be a good signing for yourselves.

And if he was, you must be a bit miffed that you only managed to get £1million!
Wymsey Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Strong at this level, yes, but the problem is that he seems to have a 'short fuse'.
RedHux Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 I know you'll have only seen very little of Wes this season but was he ever that good for Forest? And if he was, you must be a bit miffed that you only managed to get £1million! He'd been the first name on the team sheet for years so I've seen the good and bad of wes. The price was a bit cheap but it meant we could get Adlene on loan and that probably saved us during the dark cotterball year...that and bringing SoD in.
Grewks Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Would be quite funny to see Wilson and morgan playing at the city ground in leicester shirts.
Zingari Posted 4 July 2013 Posted 4 July 2013 Now theres a signing we can all enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JWBIrKgC-d4 that's who i thought of too

Fox92 Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 As I said at the top of the thread, I'd take him. Was good at this level for Nottingham Forest, alongside Wes I think, and still only 27. Also in that article, Richard Dunne. Will be a great signing at this level for any team, especially for free.
Jimmy Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 Dunne's wages would be high though, no doubt he'd be a good signing for us if we did though
TheUltimateWinner Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 Not a chance with our current financial stature!
kingfox Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 £1.4 million would be doubtful, only way I can see this is if Pearson really wants to go ahead, with the former Forest centre back pairing which got them in the Play-Offs a couple years back. We definitely need a centre back though, maybe someone cheaper or even on loan again, could be our best option.
Walshy5 Posted 15 July 2013 Posted 15 July 2013 Redhux. Can you give us an honest view on this guy? Ive seen some mixed views on him but never actually see him play.
