Football Manager 2014

I managed to keep Wrexham up in our first season in League 1, primarily due to a change to a 4-2-3-1 system and a couple of good free transfers. Now after a summer of wheeling and dealing, we're ready to go in League 1 again, hopefully avoiding a relegation battle this time.

This will be the 2018/19 season, and my 5th full season at the club. Enjoying the challenge, but I am getting linked with other jobs and if I get a chance at a decent Championship club, I may take it.

Leicester have just finished bottom of League 1, they're in administration with £88m debt. Relegation to the conference could be on the cards!

For all of those concerned about Leicester, they started on -10 due to administration and after 16 games are now on... -3, 19 points from safety. The good news is that we're still averaging 15,900, the highest in the league!

In our second season in League 1, my Wrexham are third after 16 games. I'm not quite sure who suggested it, but if you were playing 4-2-3-1 at some point with two deep lying playmakers, thank you. You helped turn us around.

I actually think we can go up this year. We have depth all over, and wouldn't dream about taking over another club ATM. Love saves like this.

Just got Luton promoted by the play offs first season so now into league 2

Massive trouble though as I have a lot of players leaving because I couldn't afford to give them new contracts. Hopefully I can bring in around 10 new players on loan and free and still do okay

those players that end up as free agents will probably sign with you again, cheaper too hopefully

Managed to get the better ones signed up and on cheaper wages as you said. Also let some dead wood on big wage go too.

And Leicester finished bottom of League 2 with 2 wins from 46, a good 34 points from safety (10 point penalty included.)

The defending off my leicester team is terrible, already in March and only managed to keep two clean sheets all season! I'm hired Ray Wilkins even as a coach early on in the season to help with our defending problem, but it's only got worse! so i think i'll fire him!

Oh, and Cardiff, but I've no interest in changing theirs to that red one.

I wish this was out on ps3 or ps4, there's no way my pc would handle it. Started data editing FM09 to try and get it up to date but too much has gone on in that time I just canna do it.

Shot comes in, saved and parried or rebounded - goal

Cross comes in, partially cleared - goal

Cross drilled in, blocked - goal

And the most infuriating ....

Get to the byline, pass - goal

I tried to be a smartarse and change Lille's badge to their new one, now they've got a smaller badge than everyone else on a white background and it looks absolutely ridiculous

 

I deleted theirs and PSG's badges in the hope it'd revert to their real life ones but it just deleted their badges altogether. I'm quite picky about this sort of thing as well so wouldn't mind it sorting.

 

I wish I could just delete PSG completely. I swear to god there is no way of avoiding a thumping against them. They've had a very indifferent season and they're 5th, yet they've still slapped us three times.

 

Never seen a league table like mine. Based on my memory... St Etienne are top, Lille are second, I'm about 11th which I'm very satisfied with... PSG are 5th and have just nicked Simeone from Atletico. Lyon are midtable and were in the bottom three in November, Monaco are third after appointing Gullit yet were bottom in November, Marseille have sacked their boss as well and are in midtable, Lorient are in a 'Champions' League place.

 

I need a life. Is it normal to remember this bloody much?!

My Sparta save is going reasonably well, I'm top but Plzen have got the game in hands. Dukla Prague are also in the top 3 which surprised me alot. I could see us not winning the league this year, but hopefully in the next season I'll actually have a budget.

I've been Asda, Sainsbury's, Morrisons none of them seem to be stocking it, I can hear you all asking why don't I go to a game shop but I am refusing to go into town at this time of year, the supermarkets are bad enough as it is, let alone town. The supermarkets are showing it for sale online, but doesn't seem to be the case in store.

thanks, i looked on steam workshop and found 3 decent packs by the same guy that work and look great, i recommend them, all rated 4 stars cant remeber the author.

dont pay too much attention to the dutys, they change each game depending on the opposition or the player. but they are good. the top one is insanely flexible too for thise important second half subs

Knockaert is an absolute beast on this - just finished January of the first season: 10 goals and 25 assists in 36 games. Top stuff.

 

Me and forest running away with the league, were pretty much neck and neck at christmas: pulled 8 clear over the new year/january period. Also into the league cup final vs Newcastle. Pretty good first season thus far.
