leicsmac Posted 9 August 2013 Posted 9 August 2013 Does anyone actually watch England any more? I certainly hope so - there's got to be something to distract from the money-laden corrupt corporate behemoth that is high-level football in England now.
Stadt Posted 9 August 2013 Posted 9 August 2013 I really don't get the 'I don't care about England' bandwagon it doesn't make you look cool, the media like to make out we are much worse than we are and often say we only have one good player,as for Scotland, they've got a few decent youngsters - Gary Mackay Steven has tekkerz.
Guest MattP Posted 9 August 2013 Posted 9 August 2013 Does anyone actually watch England any more? Still watch major tournaments and the odd qualfier but not watched a friendly for years and that won't change on Wednesday.

Scotland have got a few good players, look at how many play in our top flight. I don't really watch friendlies although I will watch us against Scotland. I'd actually like to go and watch them again but the prices are to expensive for friendlies.

It is surprising. A lot of comments I hear and read base around "Well they aren't going to win anything", which begs the question as to why they support their clubs too, as 85 clubs probably won't anything every season. We are not shit, we are not great. We are in that middle ground which appears to have been lost when players, clubs, countries, support levels are judged.
purpleronnie Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 The media make us out to be worse than we are??? Everytime theres a major tournament they think we will win it.
Guest MattP Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 Is it on ITV? yes This channel just can't resist scum can it from Jeremy Kyle in the morning to 20,000 travelling Jocks at night. The media make us out to be worse than we are??? Everytime theres a major tournament they think we will win it. To be fair they haven't donw that for a good few years now unless you read something like the Sun or the Mirror.

Leicesterpool Posted 10 August 2013 Posted 10 August 2013 I hope the tv coverage doesn't patronize them, for as i'm concerned itv covers england's game and concentrate's on england only. Never mind that typical bollox they give like when England are hammering them 4-0 "but you've got to admire the jocks spirit", and if england are losing its never "admire the english spirit". If England win its only against the scots, if we lose it's a disaster and we never hear the end of it the same for drawing. It's not just when we're playing them, you don't hear enough praise for England team!

They have always been a bit stupid but brave as ****, they keep charging over the hills when the red coats were gunning them down 20 by 20.

Of course, Scottish military strategy is generally a cross between "get the bastards" and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eowPka21BNc

SystonFox Posted 12 August 2013 Posted 12 August 2013 It's almost like some England "fans" want Scotland to win
Stadt Posted 12 August 2013 Posted 12 August 2013 That England kit is best one we've ever had I think
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 13 August 2013 Author Posted 13 August 2013 I hope to see Hart Walker Cahill Jagielka Baines Lampard Gerrard Wilshere Walcott Lambert Zaha
RobHawk Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 The problem with the England international scene is that there seems to be very little passion from the players involved. Representing your country should be the highest honor but they certainly don't seem to act or play like it is. I don't know if its the over inflated ego's or the over inflated wage packets but there just doesn't seem to be much to be proud about!
21st Century Fox Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 Did anyone else just get this email? **** off! £45!!!
Guest Bilo Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 £60 for two adults and two children isn't too shoddy but £45 is a nonsense for a midweek friendly.
Stadt Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 If tickets were£20 for adults,it'd be close to a sell out and the atmosphere would be so much better
Stadt Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 I wouldn't pay £45 if it was Spain let alone Scotland
marko Posted 13 August 2013 Posted 13 August 2013 The U21's are putting on quite a show tonight. Here's a link if anyone's interested. http://www.stadium-live.com/Channel3.html 6-0 after 60 minutes.
