LCFC FOX Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Does anyone on here go to away games on their own? Me and two mates tend to go 4/5 away games a season on foxes travel but they have both left me this season and are only sticking with the season ticket due to they need to save funds. So it looks like going on my own or not go at all. How fun is it lads? Worth it?
cambridgefox Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Living out of Leicester I tend to go on my own the majority of times to home and away( only about 6 a season).Doesnt really bother me,I talk to anyone. You sometimes feel a **** in the concourse if everyone's in groups but I manage.Aways, have a sing.
Ziggy1990 Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 As a keen hater of people i don't mind going solo every now and again.....

Thats cos you got no mates mate!!
johnny the fox Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I go to home games on my own.. but I smell.
svensson Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I always go on my own( queue loser/no friends jibes) moved from Leics when I was 9. Its all good, not as many laughs, bu when you are with "your own" in the ground it really doesn't matter. Can't let it stop you going.
Leicesterpool Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 To tell you the truth i've never been to a leicester away game on my own, strangely enough i've been to plenty of Boro, Villa and netrual games on my own but never leicester away? weird?
Guest Bilo Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I'm too social for that,I need to talk to people on long journeys and days out. Even if they're deathly dull.
StanSP Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I went to QPR on my own just cos I was in London that weekend at uni as opposed to coming home. Bought the ticket off Head Honcho off here, met Ric Flair briefly and also bumped in to Nath (Nathko Darkervic, some people may remember him) off here too. Shame we lost but turned out to be a good afternoon in terms of meeting people! I'd suggest trying it once. It's a good way to meet new people I suppose. And either way, you're seeing your beloved club play
Corky Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Been to one on my own (Ipswich last season), though that was due to my brother not feeling well enough to go.
cambridgefox Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Thats cos you got no mates mate!!i was at Forest on my own when I saw you.Did I look vulnerable ?
jonthefox Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Iv'e seen several games on my own. It never bothered me once.
AoWW Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I have no problem with going to games on my own - home or away - in fact I sometimes prefer it. Mind you, I'm fairly comfortable in my own company and, as a generally grumpy and anti-social sort, it's probably for the best. Plus, I don't think Daggers ever did recover from me driving him to Crewe!
AjcW Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Went to two games on my own last season... we won 6-0 and 6-1..... my next "on my own" game will be Blackburn on Tuesday
scinnell Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Was at Forest and Watford away on my own, but that was because there was no way I was missing those and waiting for priority 3.
Guest MattP Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Never gone to a game on my own. No idea what I'd do to be honest if my mates said they didn't want to bother anymore, not sure if I would bother on my own, part of the joy of the game and celebrating is the fact you are doing it and sharing it with your mates.
Soar Fox Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I stood at Forest on my own last season as my friends couldn't get tickets in the away end so they went in the home end. Don't think I would like to go an away game on my own though. Never gone to a game on my own. No idea what I'd do to be honest if my mates said they didn't want to bother anymore, not sure if I would bother on my own, part of the joy of the game and celebrating is the fact you are doing it and sharing it with your mates. You going Blackpool away next week Matt?
Guest MattP Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 You going Blackpool away next week Matt? Looking doubtful unfortunately. I'll let you know if it changes though.
Soar Fox Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Looking doubtful unfortunately. I'll let you know if it changes though. Nice one. Hopefully making a weekend of it and staying over.
00rawat Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I go to games on my own due none of my mates being a Leicester fans as they all support all the big clubs.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Did Derby away on my own in 2012 it didn't bother me. Rather be with other people though of course
Bettsj2 Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 When I lived in Leicester I went to home games on my own and now I live in Cornwall I go to away games in my own. Not bothered at all. Went to Bristol away last year with JaceHobbs from Foxes talk which was cool. Either, either.
Dan Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Done it a couple of times. Personally don't think it's as bad as it's made out to be, can almost seem a bit more of an adventure at times if it's away from home.
Harry - LCFC Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 Went to four away games on my own last season. Prefer going with mates of course but I just want to be at the game so much that I often end up going if no-one else wants to. Is it enjoyable? Any game's enjoyable if you win. Burnley and Wednesday away were far better than the matches we lost when I was with friends.
00rawat Posted 12 September 2013 Posted 12 September 2013 I think its better with m8s I like to talk to people about the game and stuff but If none of your m8s Leicester fans what can you do?Going to Wigan game on my own dont stop me going but it would be nice if I could meet people who are Leicester fans so I can go games with them.
