MikeyT Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 Schmeichel; De Laet, Morgan ©, Moore, Konchesky; Knockaert, Drinkwater, King, Dyer; Nugent, Vardy. Subs:Logan, Miquel, Bakayogo, Taylor-Fletcher, James, Hammond, Schlupp No Wood in the squad. (slight hamstring problem according to Shakey. )
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 No Wood on the bench, bit of a surprise.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 No Wood on the bench, bit of a surprise. I think a lot of them are made of plastic these days. I've already got my coat on.
Happy Fox Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 Wood has been crap so no surprise hopefully this will be a wake up call for him. Otherwise strong team again
Aus Fox Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 I think a lot of them are made of plastic these days. I've already got my coat on. Brilliant
wattolcfc Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 I've heard he headbutted Pearson's daughter, not confirmed though....
lcfcsnow Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 Never confident in 442 away from home out midfield is not strong enough.
Guest ttfn Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 Never confident in 442 away from home out midfield is not strong enough. Isn't Blackpool quite a small pitch? Maybe Nige thinks 3 in CM is overkill on a small pitch.
ousefox Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 Surprised by Wood and definitely thought we'd change formation. Seem to be doing well away without 442 but NP knows what he's doing.
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 That bench looks decent now. Was not feeling positive at all at the start of the season but I am impressed by the way we have started the season and the new signings will allow us to be much more solid when needed. Think we may well have a side capable of promotion. The squad looks like they will be much harder to beat this season. We were to weak mentally and physically last season.
Merchant Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 Never overly confident with 4-4-2 away from home but I suppose it'd be harsh to change a team on the back of 2 good wins and man for man we're better than these On the plus side that bench looks stronger than we've had it for a while. 1-0 City, Vardy with the goal
Hirsty The Blue 94 Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 I think a lot of them are made of plastic these days. I've already got my coat on. Haha very good, although most are lovely leather things now. No wonder Conrad doesn't want to leave.
Number 6 Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 I am a big fan of Wood but agree with that bench today. Wood was turd when he came on against Blackburn and was turd at Blackpool last year. Reckon GTF might fancy a goal against his old club.
Fox92 Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 I would have had Wood on bench, maybe for Bakayogo because Miquel and even Schlupp can cover at the back.
kingfox Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 Nice to see him having confidence in this 11, let's see how it goes. Wood will probably be loaned out to Millwall in the week, and then we will get Jay Bothroyd in on a one year deal.
MikeyT Posted 21 September 2013 Author Posted 21 September 2013 Chris Wood â€@officialcwood1m All the best to the lads in the game today! Big 3 points, bring them home boys!!
Happy Fox Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 I would have had Wood on bench, maybe for Bakayogo because Miquel and even Schlupp can cover at the back. Schlupp as a LW perhaps?

Despite Wood scoring a perfectly good goal, wrongly ruled out for offside against Blackburn, (watch the highlights on skys website). Personally i think that Wood is our best finisher.
Libertine Dream Posted 21 September 2013 Posted 21 September 2013 What a fall from grace for Wood, couldn't stop scoring and now can't even get on the bench. Not surprised, his first touch is terrible, he's weak, not got the energy to compete with our other strikers and doesn't even bother to jump for the ball
