Jace Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 My gut feeling tells me we would probably be above the average
fleckneymike Posted 28 September 2013 Author Posted 28 September 2013 My gut feeling tells me we would probably be above the average Undoubtedly, but 14k-22k above as some would have us believe?
sylofox Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 I'm not ITK but suspect we are way above that
eye666 Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 I don't believe QPR's highest earners are on 8-9k as an example. Our highest earners will be on much more than that.
Jace Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 Undoubtedly, but 14k-22k above as some would have us believe? I would have no doubt in believing our top earners would be possibly 22k and above but as an average I would guess myself around 14k
Libertine Dream Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 Undoubtedly, but 14k-22k above as some would have us believe? Look at the wage bill on the accounts, it gives you an idea that some must be
Jace Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 I think under the financial reports the wages given would include people like the reserve team, all the club staff the management team so I'm not sure we would be able to find out from that unless anyone knows different?
fleckneymike Posted 28 September 2013 Author Posted 28 September 2013 I don't believe QPR's highest earners are on 8-9k as an example. Our highest earners will be on much more than that. You would be quite right but those stats relate to last season and that average figure doesn't specifiy if it is the "mean" average but I suspect that it is. If the average is 4-5k then our alleged squad of everyone 8-10k minimum would squiff the figures substantially meaning every one else in the league was earning peanuts.
Jace Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 I think I heard on tv that Yeovils club expensively last year as a total was under £1 million, incredible compared to what teams like QPR would have been
Webbo Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 I was told last week by someone who's friends with an ex player that Konch was on £30k a week, I don't know if that's true though.
Guest Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 How can the highest earners be on 9k if some our our players are "reportedly" on 15 - 25K. Shouldn't they be quoted as the highest earners?
Jordan Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 It's not in the PFA's best interest to report that their members are overpaid, so I--and even as someone that is generally supportive of sports players' unions--would take these figures with a grain of salt.
jamesmilner Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 im sorry but pearson is most definitely on £20, 000 a week . players always earn more than managers . FACT ! PFA = POSSIBLYKNOWS , FOOK ALL ! And the guys at qpr are on no more than £9,000 ? ok santa told me !!
Strokes Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 im sorry but pearson is most definitely on £20, 000 a week . players always earn more than managers . FACT ! PFA = POSSIBLYKNOWS , FOOK ALL ! FACT = opinion

Captain... Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 I saw that on BBC, related to an article on contracts and how players can earn a lot more on bonuses and extras so that would just be basic salary, one example being 5k appearance bonus for just a 30 second subs appearance. So whilst some player may have a basic salary of 9k view could take home double that. It also suggests that signing on fees are paid out during the contract rather than as a lump sum, so again seeing the monthly pay packet could have a lot more than just the basic wage. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23923904

MooseBreath Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 Sounds about right for basic salary. Obviously significantly topped up with appearance and performance related bonuses. Sven contracts would have smashed those averages. But I bet we're not far off under Pearson. We'll be at the higher end as you'd expect for one of the bigger clubs in the division. These average championship players aren't on the huge salaries people often associate with footballers, that's for sure.
FoxTrott Posted 28 September 2013 Posted 28 September 2013 I love a bit of fact. Does anyone have any proof Nugent, Gallagher, Schemichel etc. is on 30K a week? Any account receipts showing our total wage salary? Where I agree, to lure players like Beckford from Premiership competition would've pushed up our wage budget, the extent some people bang on about it is moronic. Quoted source is PFA, but I cannot find any info on salaries on there, anywhere.
Bryn Posted 29 September 2013 Posted 29 September 2013 Moose has the right of it here, that will be basic pay. The rest will be appearance fees, bonuses and investments.
dmayne7 Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 Shocked that League 2 is that high considering some of the bigger teams in that league have total wage bills of 20k a week?!
Free Falling Foxes Posted 30 September 2013 Posted 30 September 2013 You're all hooligans!! I just 'Googled' ITK
