Guest ttfn Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 Belgium are taking four goal keepers? Am I missing something? Januzaj, the biggest myth of the Premier League 2014/15 season, wouldn't have even got in the England squad if he did choose to play for us. Apparently one of the goalkeepers is injured so they've got a backup for now.
Guest ttfn Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 wtf Nasri Yeah can't believe Belgium didn't call him up
kingfox Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 Just seen Argentina's squad, definitely make them favourites. What a set of forwards in particular.

Dan Posted 13 May 2014 Posted 13 May 2014 You say that but the only reason that Switzerland were in the top seed for the World Cup draw was because they didn't play any friendlies, which in itself is a very clever move, and they had a weak qualifying group that they breezed through. BBC explained it really well... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-25134584 That's an excellent article. It's all a very nice system but there's a major flaw for me - your average points goes down if you beat a shit side yet not at all if you lose a game? Or if you lose, does that game just register as zero points?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Our squad is extremly crap on paper, certaintly with an eye on the future. Is is there isn't much else to pick from. Goalkeepers: Mat Ryan (Club Brugge/Belgium), Mitchell Langerak (Borussia Dortmund/Germany), Eugene Galekovic (Adelaide United), Mark Birighitti (Newcastle Jets) Defenders: Josh Brilliante (Newcastle Jets), Ivan Franjic (Brisbane Roar), Jason Davidson (Heracles Almelo/Holland), Matthew Spiranovic (Western Sydney Wanderers), Curtis Good (Dundee United/Scotland), Bailey Wright (Preston North End/England), Luke Wilkshire (Dynamo Moscow/Russia), Alex Wilkinson (Jeonbuk Motors/South Korea), Ryan McGowan (Shandong Luneng/China) Midfielders: Mile Jedinak (Crystal Palace/England), Mark Milligan (Melbourne Victory), James Holland (Austria Vienna/Austria), Massimo Luongo (Swindon Town/England), Adam Sarota (FC Utrecht/Holland), Oliver Bozanic (Luzern/Switzerland), Matt McKay (Brisbane Roar), Mark Bresciano (Al-Gharafa/Qatar) Attackers: Tim Cahill (New York Red Bulls/USA), Josh Kennedy (Nagoya Grampus/Japan), Tom Rogic (Melbourne Victory), Dario Vidosic (Sion/Switzerland), Tommy Oar (FC Utrecht/Holland), James Troisi (Melbourne Victory), Ben Halloran (Fortuna Dusseldorf/Germany), Adam Taggart (Newcastle Jets), Matthew Leckie (FSV Frankfurt/Germany)

Haydos Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 "Samir Nasri is a starter in a big club that won the Premier League, he is an important part of Manchester City. However his performances for the French NT are not up to his ones at Manchester and he is not a starter for us. And when he doesn't start, he is not happy."
kingfox Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 What odds are you giving on Brazil then? Can Iyou be my bookie? 6/1, Argentina 5/1

Grandad. Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 Argentina have seriously left out Carlos Tevez? And Franco Di Santo has been selected? Wow. You could make a pretty good squad of players who haven't been picked for their squads and players who's countries haven't made the World Cup.
RowlattsFox Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 It looks as though the Argentina coach would rather leave a player like tevez out all together than have him in the squad as a bench player. We all know tevez can be a disruptive person. Same goes for France with Nasri.

Still the Argentina coach could surely have found a better striker than Franco Di Santo, he has scored 17 league goals in 4 years.

That'll be Blatter's next gimmick if we're not careful!

Incredible attacking options for Argentina.
Bert Posted 14 May 2014 Author Posted 14 May 2014 Oh my.Every one of the 7 players that get dropped would stroll into our side
kingfox Posted 14 May 2014 Posted 14 May 2014 http://www.justbookies.com/world-cup-odds/?gclid=CKLm2I2dq74CFccSwwodyaQA0Q I know Brazil are favourites atm, but I favour Argentina.

Looked like a decent player, could be a decent prospect for the future.

Lets make a missed out XI.
