There won't be any shit in the Dutch camp with Van Gaal in charge of his last international tournament like what happened at the Euro 2012 with Van Marwijk as Holland manager. The reason why they failed then was because, the squad were not working together with their egos. They lack quality that's their problem, nothing to do with Van Gaal. Injuries aren't exactly helping them either. Wouldn't like to call the Chile game, their no mugs, and playing in South America. That last one is certainly ambitious Terrible odds.

That's really sad to be honest - people can slate him for not playing in Argentina, but how many Argentine clubs offered to pay for the treatment he needed? Barcelona took the chance and it paid off immensely. I also found that pretty interesting that they're not expecting to do anything in Brazil. Shows what I know then as I've had them down to win it for a while - not that they can't. I know I had no idea expectations were that kind of level in Argentina

Cameroon stunned Argentina and had one (or two?) players sent off for some "industrial" tackling. They played some great football and had England well and truly on the ropes in the quarter final in Naples. When Ekeke crashed in to make is 2-1 to Cameroon I thought we were done for, and we probably would have been had it not been for some more clumsy defending in the box!

How is David Villa "(obviously) not even close" to being good enough for the England Squad, he's just scored 14 goals in a title winning Atheltico Madrid side, and we started Danny Wellbeck on the left hand side of our attack last night. Terrible comment.

The point pride of the midlands made was that Villa and Torres aren't good enough for England, and the Spain squad isn't all that because they were included in the original squad. Even though he's clearly wrong, by making the 23 that's really not been proved, which is what what scousefox's post (which I know was taking the piss out of POTM) was getting at. Until villa and Torres do something amazing this year for Spain (I don't mean past world cups etc) then POTM so still going to believe he's right that they wouldn't make the England squad. All I'm saying is you can make that joke once they done something amazing that proves beyond doubt they would make our squad, right now they've just been called into a squad, they've not disproved potm's point.
