foxfanazer Posted 11 December 2013 Posted 11 December 2013 The defence seem to be avoiding a lot of the criticism recentlym I think they have looked poor the last couple of games and we haven't kept nearly enough clean sheets
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 11 December 2013 Posted 11 December 2013 So with a different keeper we would be on 48 points, we must have a bloomin' good team then.... eh ASS? That's not what he said, is it? Don't show yourself up, "eh ASS"
Babylon Posted 11 December 2013 Posted 11 December 2013 most of those points he's saved us are by saves any Championship keeper would've made though . No doubt in my mind we'd be several points better off with a consistent standard Championship keeper or even the Kasper of 2 seasons ago so far. Not knocking his past seasons so much but I Don't know how anyone can defend him so far this season, he's been a liability and cost us several more points than he's saved us. So the saves he has made would have been made by any keeper, but the mistakes wouldn't have been?Kasper will make mistakes, Nugent will miss chances, Drinkwater will go missing now and again, Dyer won't make perfect crosses all the time... Because they are all championship players.
Monsell1976 Posted 11 December 2013 Posted 11 December 2013 He has been prone to silly errors this season, and he is very naive in some of his decision making, that's the whole reason he's a championship keeper not a premier league one. I can't see him outing any premier league first team goal keepers, but I can't think of any keeper that is better than him in the championship, errors and all.
ruisliptiger Posted 11 December 2013 Posted 11 December 2013 Is this for real? If you want a keeper better than Schmeichel then you would have to entice one from the Premier League. Such is the ridiculousness of the notion I'm struggling to think of an adequate riposte. Cuh, Pfffft.

Such is the ridiculousness of the notion I'm struggling to think of an adequate riposte. Cuh, Pfffft. Not really, plenty of decent keepers in this division. We should have cashed in on Kasper last summer with you guys, on his form this year you have got lucky. He'll really struggle in the Premier League.
Manwell Pablo Posted 22 December 2013 Posted 22 December 2013 Well I'd chalk today as two points in Kasper's favor, thought he had a great game.
tylesta Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 manwell i have to second that he was fantastic today. had a hand in our goal to.
Haydos Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Exactly, it's like Babs said earlier. Any mistakes he makes wouldn't have been made by another keeper, but any of those fantastic saves would have been no problem.
Aus Fox Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Exactly, it's like Babs said earlier. Any mistakes he makes wouldn't have been made by another keeper, but any of those fantastic saves would have been no problem. So no other keeper makes mistakes?
Unabomber Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 So no other keeper makes mistakes?Pretty sure he's being sarcastic.
Aus Fox Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Pretty sure he's being sarcastic. Sorry Christmas Eve, the drinks have been glowing and I misread the post
Sly Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 The solution to this problem is simple. Lets buy a goalkeeper that fills the nets, ala Pressman. Kasper is good enough and like Bert says, over the course of a season, he'll win us more points than he'll cost us.
Corky Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 We should buy a gk who doesn't let in goals Conrad fits the bill.

5waller5 Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Wow ...... I'm staggered ..... Are we really criticising Kasper now??? Jeez.
ADK Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Kasper is as good a championship keeper as you'll get.
funkyrobot Posted 24 December 2013 Posted 24 December 2013 Kasper is the best goalie we've had in the last ten years. I wouldn't swap him for another championship keeper and he's better than a number of premiership goalies including those who are deemed good enough for the England squad such as ruddy and butland.
