VLC86 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 It's clear our whole defence should be in question which includes Kasper. Our defensive record since Feb has been average and I recon we must have had 10 plus different centre back combos during this time which is never going to help matters. With all of that said we are 3rd in the league, if you would have turned that down at the start of the season your a bit deluded
AndWhat? Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Anybody would think we were bottom of the league, not 1 point off automatics with the possibility of going top on Saturday.
pazzerfox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Kasper is above average. He's not in the same league as Flowers, Walker and Keller for me.
broughtonblue Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Got to agree that he is just an average player, with strengths and weaknesses, also as an earlier poster said, that half way line rantings last season were pathetic, not a way to endear you to your teammates.
DennisNedry Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I thought Sheff Weds second goal was a standard save tbh.
sk3since03 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Kasper is at his level thats it! With Conrad Logan breathing down his neck kasper is hardly going to be playing for his place is he so he bound to switch off every now again! Not that im blaming him for anything yesterday hes still the best player at the club and hes a keeper! What about the points he has saved us! I see the pearson out scapegoat brigade has returned!?!
Sampson Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 He's cost us as many points as he has won as this season I think. most of those points he's saved us are by saves any Championship keeper would've made though .No doubt in my mind we'd be several points better off with a consistent standard Championship keeper or even the Kasper of 2 seasons ago so far. Not knocking his past seasons so much but I Don't know how anyone can defend him so far this season, he's been a liability and cost us several more points than he's saved us.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 He's still young for keeper, he's bound to have a loss of form
Bluetintedspecs Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I'm really struggling to keep up with who the latest victim is in our team......maybe we could just have a " victims" thread and summarily persecute all of the team we allegedly support
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Kasper has got complacent but with Logan as a back up I would as well! That is exactly what I have said previously. He only a shade of his previous self, and is a bit of a liability at the moment. We need a better back up keeper, who will challenge him.

I can only assume that this forum is inhabited by a large proportion of children
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I'm really struggling to keep up with who the latest victim is in our team......maybe we could just have a " victims" thread and summarily persecute all of the team we allegedly support I agree, it's hard to know who we're currently directing our hate towards. If we could have the mods sticky a thread which always contains an up to date list of the players we're lambasting and why it would be a lot easier. Also, if we could know the extent to which we have a go at them it would be better. Sometimes I don't know whether to go on the forum and slag them off or wait till a game and boo them when their name gets called out on the team sheet.

Ha ha ha ha ha my sentiments too, so many so fookin fickle!
Carl the Llama Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I think the person who created this thread should have thier access revoked as I had mine. It is irresponsible to ignite a genuine debate about our goalkeeper, you're eithet positive or you can do one. Moderators; do your thing! Yawn.
FoxTrott Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I do like Kasper - people love to shout his praises, but for me he is a pretty standard Championship 'keeper. He saves the odd screamer, concedes the odd howler, is generally 'pretty good'. But I would not but completely cut out about losing him. He is quite the iconic player; being Peter's son, you can expect that. I don't think he's bad, at all. I just think if we stuck in Fatty Ford in goal, or pretty much any other Championship goalkeeper, and we'd be in the same position. Every 'keeper has their advantage/disadvantage. Kasper's distribution has the ambivalence of being "a massive attacking threat" when times are good, and "a complete liability, straight out of play" when times are not going so well. It cost us at Brighton, for sure. But we must also bare in mind how much chaos his long balls (ha) caused last season, when that was being used as a tactic. I wouldn't be surprised if we do lose him, if not in January over the summer. I don't think we'll pay him .whatever he is currently on, and a lower Premiership side might have seen the good bits he has done here and take a punt. TLDR: if we sell/lose Kasper, I don't think it is a big deal.
Nick Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Just finishing up reviewing all the goals we've conceded since the season started. I've scrutinised everything now, multiple times, via FLS footage, YouTube, Foxes Player & of course via my traveling all over the country following the Foxes. Plain for all to see. One of many areas AnotherShitSeason has grave concerns over. Are you referring to yourself in the third person as some kind of footballing entity?
Number 6 Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I like Kasper but he has cost us points this season. Think hes also had 2 assists mind so not all bad.
Beliall Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 ok.. i havent played in nets since i was 15, but ill do it if you like
Dan Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 No idea what's wrong with him this season. He's made an error in every away game since Blackpool, except for Yeovil. Very decent shot-stopper but there's seriously something not right with him this year.
eye666 Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 I think he's just going through the motions at the moment, for 2 reasons. 1. He'll be off at the end of the season. 2. He's a guarenteed starter regardless of form. Hopefully we can get someone in in January to challenge him for the position. If we all of a sudden have another keeper who could keep him out of the team during his shop window (last 6 months of his contract) I'm sure we'd see him playing better.
Sampson Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 He's still young for keeper, he's bound to have a loss of form I'm aware keepers go on longer than outfield players, but I'd still hardly call 27 young. I'd be expecting him to reach his peak about that age.
theessexfox Posted 9 December 2013 Posted 9 December 2013 Always thought he was a tad overrated. Decent distribution, good shot-stopper, but liable to howlers and absolutely wank from crosses. Off the top of my head he's made mistakes against Donny (pen) Charlton (2 crosses) Ipswich (beaten at near post) and Sheff Wed.

Blackpool (penalty), Ipswich (could've done better with their goal IMO), Watford (positioning all over the place but went unpunished luckily), and the weekend too. I'm not writing him off yet but this has got to stop, and quickly.
