AnotherShitSeason Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Just finishing up reviewing all the goals we've conceded since the season started. I've scrutinised everything now, multiple times, via FLS footage, YouTube, Foxes Player & of course via my traveling all over the country following the Foxes. Plain for all to see. One of many areas AnotherShitSeason has grave concerns over.
Bryn Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 I have even graver concerns pertaining to your personality.
Corky Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Debatable keeper, weak defence, non-existant midfield and wasteful, lazy strikeforce. How do we ever win games?
foxfanazer Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 If you could let Nige know all of your concerns I'm sure he'd appreciate your in depth scrutiny
foxfanazer Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 I might create a thread called. 12/15 points more if we had Messi up front
Jace Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Lets be honest we have a crisis on our hands, lets sell Schmeichel to Real Madrid because he is not good enough for the Championshp and bring in Conrad Logan and sign Kevin Poole as a reserve keeper
MC Prussian Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 There certainly is one thing plain for all to see. Use a mirror, A.S.S.
Happy Fox Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 Kasper has got complacent but with Logan as a back up I would as well!
Manwell Pablo Posted 7 December 2013 Posted 7 December 2013 He's not totally wrong I can think of one without even going through the games (Doncaster) But then going through the team criticizing individual errors when we are sat where we are now is rather stupid. If we had defended certain situations better, played the killer pass from midfield a bit better, or finished a few more of the countless chances we've created we'd probably be 20 points better off, that's football, played by Human beings who despite being payed a massive wad remain with their faults, at any level.
Johnny Cash Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I think the person who created this thread should have thier access revoked as I had mine. It is irresponsible to ignite a genuine debate about our goalkeeper, you're eithet positive or you can do one. Moderators; do your thing!
Fox92 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I don't rate Kasper as much as others seem to do, but again, I doubt we could get a better goalkeeper at this level. Especially considering our finances at the minute. However, I did say in the summer I would have accepted Hull's bid (what was it £2million?) and just got Steele from Barnsley, who is just as good as Kasper imo. I'm guessing we could have got him for something between 500k-£1million, made a profit and it's a contract less to worry about.
Guest shearfox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I suppose when you made your analysis that you considered all the great saves he has made as well....
sylofox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Alan young had a great 45 mins against shrewsbury in the cup. Get him out that box with stringer Blowing him and get him doing some real work.
Sampson Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I suppose when you made your analysis that you considered all the great saves he has made as well.... Because other Championship goalkeepers wouldn't have made those stops? People say making standard saves makes up for his errors as if without him we'd have no one in goal and every shot would go in. I just don't get the love of Schmeichel at all and never really have, most keepers in this division are decent shot stoppers. Not to say he's bad and doesn't make some saves other Championship keepers wouldn't have made, but it balances out with his errors and constantly giving possession back to the opposition through his dismal distribution, He's a mediocre Championship keeper with strengths and weaknesses who is passable and certainly better than some of the crap we had in goal between 04-08, but certainly not in the same league as Ian Walker was in this league for us on the other side of the scale and nowhere near the best keeper in this division. I still don't know how Chris Weale got all the stick he got for being a good reaction shot stopper who was nevertheless poor at saving long shots and also made a few mistakes, whereas Schmeichel doesn't seem to get anywhere near as much for being pretty much the same. I get the feeling the fact he shouts at defenders and shows "passion" whereas Weale didn't visibly run out his area waving his hands everywhere gets Schmeichel a free pass sometimes.
L1HT Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 All the strikers have the right to run up to him and bollock him in his face.....I wrote this a year ago and stand by it Posted 23 December 2012 - 01:24 PM When you do something shit a work, you know you've done something shit and the last thing you want is a colleague running halfway across the factory/office to tell you you're shit. But thats what this drama queen does. Remember his 1st 2 games running to the halfway line to bollok players. Imagine a new workmate doing that. The blokes a drama queen who is no doubt desperate to get on tv. If we win against a shite team, no1 is interested in the goalie doing a lap of honour at the end.Think its pretty obvious what other pplayers think of him when Knockeart had a go V someone shit about 2 months ago.
Callabinho Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 He's got a point about Kasper though, I don't buy this "he's saved us plenty of times" crap, he has conceded some absolute howlers this season.
formidable1 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Ever since I saw him in the BP on banks road at half seven in the morning get out of his Audi A8 with his hood up and shades on and then staring at me like he wanted recognition, I have always had his card marked. He is an okay keeper and nothing more. His dad he isn't!!
EnglishOxide Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 He hasn't been as outstanding this season as much as last season. But he is not shit. You do realise he was in the Championship team of the season last season?
Foxy harry Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Debatable keeper, weak defence, non-existant midfield and wasteful, lazy strikeforce. How do we ever win games? and by lazy strike force u mean vardy
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I think I brought this up 2 weeks ago. Kasper can be a match winner or loser, in equal measure at the moment.
Bert Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 He's cost us as many points as he has won as this season I think.
