Orkneyfox Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 ? The founder of the islands population was from Leicester!
jonthefox Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 So he sacked off the Monsell to go and live there?. Wierdo. Edit. 23 kids with 3 wives proves my point. :xmasblink:
Bayfox Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 Edit. 23 kids with 3 wives proves my point. :xmasblink: yeah but what about the guy on the island??
Webbo Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 The founder of the islands population was from Leicester! One of the islands is called Leicester as well.
MooseBreath Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 We should really club together and buy that Leicester island. Fair play to that bloke though, said goodbye to the 19th century ratrace and shacked up on a remote island with three Polynesian sisters who all became his wife. Presumably spent his days lounging around on the beach casually impregnating each of his wives. That's how you do life.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 I really, really hope the inhabitants are only allowed to marry people from another island, at least for the next few generations.
Stadt Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 Eventually it will just become uninhabited, the younger generation can't marry and they won't return so Palmerstone is doomed.
Guest shearfox Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 I really, really hope the inhabitants are only allowed to marry people from another island, at least for the next few generations. This, otherwise it is doomed...
Merging Cultures Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 59 of the 62 inhabitants are descended from him. Seeing that he only had 23 children, they have either been getting knocked up off the islands or they have been shagging each other. Given the practice not long ago used to be that cousins would get married, I think they've been shagging each other.

It does say not long ago there were 300 inhabibtants, so let's not judge the web toed little fúcks.
Voll Blau Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 Seems like a less mental/less rapey version of Pitcairn Island.

Strokes Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 Did they eat the others?!If the origional inhabitant was from leicester, there is a good chance they can't count.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 30 December 2013 Posted 30 December 2013 Bet Prince Phillip had fun there, he has experience at getting dandy with cousins.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 I reckon I could happily live there, and leave the rat race behind. Oh yes.
wurmer Posted 1 January 2014 Posted 1 January 2014 They are allowed to marry descendants from each of the 3 original wives, not within the same descendant group.
