Happy New Year.

I don't generally celebrate it though, not a fan of it.

Yeah happy new year all round, hope everyone has a great 2014.

Just a quietish one for me tonight, group of old mates down the pub. Should be nice. That's the plan anyway, as soon as everyone has a few drinks down then we could end up anywhere.

Never really gone nuts on New Year, just another decent night out with my best mates, probably spend most of it laughing about what's happened in the last year and what's going to happen in the next.

Happy New Year to all FTers. Definitely not a fan of the night though, would much rather spend the evening with good friends at mine or someone else house than go out and spent a small fortune. I do that often enough as it is, only difference it'll take 3x as long to get a beer tonight!

Happy New Year to you too.

Off round a friends house & might pop in The Clarendon for a few.......if I can convince the missus.  She thinks that only men go in there & most of them are criminals.  She's not wrong.

Back at you, Webbo. And everyone else.

I'll be staying in as usual. Not a massive fan of New Year's; always thought it was a bit overrated. Watching Jools Holland like usual, I heard Ray Davies is on it this year!!

Happy new year everyone.

Going to be staying in myself, I really don't get into the hype of going out and spending shit loads on not a lot while being surrounded by plonkers.

Happy New Year FTers

I'll be staying in. I'm not a huge fan of the night either. If people ask me to go out I'll sometimes go, but I can't see the point in being charged to get into a pub you go to free every week, see the same people you see, be deafened by a shit band and then spend the last bank holiday for ages recovering. Would rather stay in.

Loads of New Year Scrooges on here!  :xmasdry:

It is a stupid night for prices though. Loads of events going on in town and the cheapest I could find (just looking out of interest, never had any intention to go) was £25 a ticket. Just to get into a place that costs like £2.50 most other weekends and is shit. Our usual haunts in town are free as always, but they'll be so busy and taxis will cost a fortune and I'll end up having to walk back from town again which is like 6 miles and very painful.

Sad there's no house party going on this year, they're the NYE thing to do. Cheap, just mates and easy to get to and from.

I hate New Year too.Had so many years when younger hyping it up and been disappointed.

Little story going back 13 years now and mainly for those who have or have had young kids.

You know when your 6 month old baby is ill and has been for days. They have had no sleep, you have had no sleep. The baby is roaring its arse off at any opportunity, you are so tired you feel sick.Well I'm fairly mild mannered and it takes a lot to rile me,but on one NYE I was in because the above was happening,I was being irrational and at 12 o clock approx 10 mins after I had finally got my daughter off to sleep to what seemed like the first time in days.Bang,fizz,kabooomm.Someone was letting fireworks off down the road.Daughter wakes screaming again. Now these people letting fireworks off were now some fooking cvnts letting fireworks off.i flipped got in the car drove down there and told them what I thought of them. They must have thought I was a right rude miserable twvt.Felt a bit of a cvnt for weeks afterwards.Luckily I didn't know them and they didn't know me.

Yeah happy new year everyone!!

Staying in myself and have a few beers with the family. Hate the hype on new years, it's like everyone's out to have the best night of their life which in turn makes it absolutely terrible. On top of the fact it's overpriced and overcrowded everywhere it's a no-brainer for me!

There's usually a decent public fireworks display near me and last time I went they had one of these German burger shed things selling all dem sausages and meats and it was delicious. So I'm going to head down there just for that. They sell plastic pints of lager-piss too so I'll probably stick around for a couple just to make a respectable appearance, then home for 1am. No intention of going into any pubs or bars tonight. Literally the worst night of the year for any of that.

Staying in as per.

New Years Resolution, not to get banned on here, well I said the same last year, and it didn't really go to well  lol

I'm gonna change my ways, for you all.

Already 2014 here Australia always ahead of England haha.

Normally at a 4 day music festival but spent it at a beach box this year with some decent mates.

Cool, anything weird happen? Any apocalypses I should prepare for?

House party tonight around the sister in laws. I shall get merry and very loud and then spend the next day regretting it most likely.

According my cousin visiting Australia was like going back in time lol   She said most of the tech was about 10 years behind ours...which I thought was weird.

Plenty of fireworks and keep an eye out for some bloke who just threw up every where.

Got absolutely spannered last night and only got home at 6.30am. Holding a house party tonight and I never want to see alcohol again. Think even smelling it will result in a multi-coloured yawn. Wondering if I can throw a sickie and head off to bed and leave Mrs Oxlong to do the hosting.

Oh yeah, Happy New Year everyone.

Staying in with a curry and a few ales (not on my tod, mind).

Resolution for this year is the same as ever: cut down on the beer, fags and coffee. And maybe buy a flat.

Happy New Year to all Foxestalkerati! Here's to a successful 2014.....
