Deucalion Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Just another game for me. Do we really need a local rival?
Bayfox Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 whats a derby a small part of wales that somehow got separated during the movement in the earths plates leaving it lost and stranded in a country in which shagging sheep isn't considered a good thing.

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 A good friend of mine, Blackburn fan, once described Derby as 'bland and a bit distasteful - like meat left out in the sun' - perfectly put. I would dislike their smug fans but actually just pity them as they will never go anywhere as none of their fans care enough
Mark_from_USA Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Wasn't Derby some little League 2 club we ran off the pitch a week or so back? I think that was their name, yes. Funny though, I distinctly remember being put out of both cups.... a puzzler for sure!
Guest Bilo Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 They've overachieved this season and we ruthlessly exposed that fact. On the not caring about Leicester thing, Derby always used to be a hell of a lot better at that game than Forest but a bit of envy of our league position has sorted that one out
purpleronnie Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 They're just envious because they know come the end of the season:-

Maybes Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 Guess this is what happens when you've been the best club in the east midlands in the last 15 - 20 years. We've pissed all over these in the last 4 seasons too!
RobHawk Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 The Pearson dislike is bizarre. If he managed someone else I doubt he'd offend me, in a similar way to Chris Hughton and Kenny Jackett, doesn't moan on endlessly about things and does his stuff in a professional manner. Hardly a media whore either. I think it's the smirk! I've said it before and I'll say it again, Nig has the best smirk in the league! I can see why some fans would be jealous though especially when they got shit schmirker schteve as manager!
RedHux Posted 22 January 2014 Posted 22 January 2014 I can't comment for Davie, however before Clough it was always Leicester and Forest. Maybe its worth watching the Dammed United film for a brief history lesson. Derby were a tinpot nothing club before then. Having said that they did win some trophies in their early history. You do know the damned United is a fiction written by a Leeds fan don't you? As far as I'm aware, the was a big rivalry between our two clubs in the 60s. That said, forest and derby shared a similar rivalry and the whole clough left the sheep and went on to win almost everything has lifted that one above all others for forest fans.

Can people stop patronizing me. I know all about Brain Clough his career how he left Derby went to Leeds and ended up at Forest, blah diddy blah. And I've seen the Dammed United and as his been pointed out, that's a piece of fiction not a documentary. Nowhere, in that film is there any mention of a rivalry between Leicester and Forest and that is what I'm interested in, and also the rivalry between Derby and Forest pre Clough.

Hardly a media whore either. It's called bitterness. I've seen a few say he's arrogant but I honestly don't see it based on his national interviews. Give me him over someone like Pardew. That bloke's an absolute embarrassment.

He is far from arrogant, he always gives praise to the opposition and never once goes overboard on his praise for the team. If anything he underplays how well we have done this season.
ithuriel Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 I do not really care whether they see Leicester as rivals, I enjoy seeing them in the same league because it normally guarantees points in the bag, why I hope they manage to follow us up.
C-man Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 It's a good job they're taking so many to Blackburn otherwise people would start to think they're a bit small time.

Dan Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 650 I hear. MASSIVE. Pitiful. Absolutely utterly pitiful in every sense. Laughable how a lot of them are convinced they'e a bigger club than we are.
