Vacamion Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Bad news this How so? I think it is a good idea. Wherever they trial it, people better behave themselves. The first sniff of trouble and it will be withdrawn like a shot...
Leicesterpool Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 As Dion Dublin said recently on BBC Sport the only way we'd find out its a failure is another disaster! Also would this mean tickets are reduced then?
purpleronnie Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 As Dion Dublin said recently on BBC Sport the only way we'd find out its a failure is another disaster! Also would this mean tickets are reduced then? Well Dion dublin is the authority on this subject so we should all listen to what he say's.
AndWhat? Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 As Dion Dublin said recently on BBC Sport the only way we'd find out its a failure is another disaster! Also would this mean tickets are reduced then? That doesn't make sense to me. You could surely say the same about seats?
Fox92 Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 No problem with trail and error surely, just like every product. I doubt it will improve atmosphere though, I still think the ground generally create better atmospheres. The older grounds, the likes of Everton. The biggest problem we need to tackle is ticket prices.
Guest Bilo Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Bad news this Only if you're an imbecile and know nothing about safe standing.
Hollism Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 As Dion Dublin said recently on BBC Sport the only way we'd find out its a failure is another disaster! Also would this mean tickets are reduced then? Dion Dublin made himself look such a prat on that video. This isn't us saying "Let's give terraces another go, everyone will behave themselves nowadays." Safe standing is exactly that: Safe. Dion Dublin: How do we know that it works? Dan Walker: Well it's been tried and tested in Europe and seems to be safe DD: Yeah but it might go wrong Is that seriously the only argument against this?
Kitchandro Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 As Dion Dublin said recently on BBC Sport the only way we'd find out its a failure is another disaster! Also would this mean tickets are reduced then? You really are an absolute idiot. The Villa forum would welcome you with open arms.
Harry - LCFC Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 As Dion Dublin said recently on BBC Sport the only way we'd find out its a failure is another disaster! Also would this mean tickets are reduced then? I'd imagine the designers will have done the maths behind it - weight of supporters against the barrier, possibility of barrier collapsing etc. and can prove that a crush would be impossible. It's not a case of finding out if it's a failure or not from the next disaster, because that disaster will never come. I'd encourage you to watch the videos and various presentations about it and then look at some old pictures of terraces of the past. You'll see then why disasters simply can't happen if rail seats are in place (they're actually safer than seats you know).

Unabomber Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 As Dion Dublin said recently on BBC Sport the only way we'd find out its a failure is another disaster! Also would this mean tickets are reduced then? Out of interest how old are you?
AndWhat? Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Out of interest how old are you? 19 according to his profile. Got to be the weirdest 19 year old lad in the country.
Soar Fox Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 19 according to his profile. Got to be the weirdest 19 year old lad in the country. Depends on how old Kingfox is. He's a strange one also.
Corky Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 As Dion Dublin said recently on BBC Sport the only way we'd find out its a failure is another disaster! Also would this mean tickets are reduced then? Have you never stood at a football match before? Where you stand in your seating area, they would take the seat away. There would be a barrier in front of you, so the only way you could make a disaster is standing on the barrier and falling off it or pushing the barrier over. They aren't putting fences up and piling people into small cages, they are letting you stand where you would normally sit.
C-man Posted 12 February 2014 Posted 12 February 2014 Unbelievable and massively irritating that people feel the need to pass comment on something they know absolutely fvck all about, whether it's Dion Dublin or leicesterpool. Why not ask how it works rather than automatically linking the word standing and disaster without any thought whatsoever as to what they are actually saying. Seriously, can these people not hear themselves and how utterly lunatic and nonsensical their comments are?
Tom17LCFC Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Depends on how old Kingfox is. He's a strange one also. Nah son, Leicesterpool makes kingfox look semi-normal.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Bad news this No offence, but you're the biggest tool who's ever posted on this forum. I have never met you but every post you make, makes me want to hurt you. You're not even a WUM or a troll.

"makes me want to hurt you"? Repulsive remark to make. Calm it down.

Dan Posted 13 February 2014 Posted 13 February 2014 Leicesterpool is the lad who suggested Knockaert at right wing back in some 3-4-3 formation when we'd won about 6 on the bounce. He's an obvious WUM.
