Foxes Blue Blood Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Does anybody know what the prize money is for the top.6 places £50,000 for Winners
Happy Fox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Massive game for the sheepshaggers, against Burnley if they win that they might have a chance of sneaking 2nd spot.
weller54 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Burnley will beat them comfortably... 3-0!...
Foxhateram Posted 23 February 2014 Author Posted 23 February 2014 I can see derby in second by the end of this week. As much as it pains me to say it.
foxes1988 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Wigan have more top half teams to play then anyone else so don't be surprised if their form drop off a little
Foxes Blue Blood Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Next Saturdays fixtures will be interesting, I see Leeds coming away from QPR with at least a draw, Burnley v Derby probably best for a draw, Yeovil might get at Reading after yesterday's win, If Forest don't win against Wigan I think that's their challenge for auto place gone (Come on Waggy), all that leaves is for us to continue with a Win against Charlton. (A draw would probably maintain our 8 point gap) I see Reading dropping out of the top 6 in favour of Wigan.
weller54 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Foxes, Burnley, Derby, Florist, Qpr and Yeovil (late surge!!)...
Bert Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 With Burnley and Derby playing each other Saturday I would be happy with anything other than a Derby win. Especially if we can win. The gap between us and third will be even bigger then. I'm not bothered about winning the league until we are sure of promotion.

Promotion first, winning the championship would be the icing on the cake. If we win Saturday we will be in an even stronger position, I would like a Burnley win or a draw. In my ideal world we win the league, Burnley get second and Wigan or Reading win the play offs. Forest or QPR missing out on a play off spot on the last day of the season would be preferable.
harpendenfox Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 With our next three games being Charlton at home, Barnsley away, and Blackpool at home, we have great points opportunities. We all know it's not as easy as that. Charlton are improving, Barnsley are fighting, and Blackpool have got to win some day by the law of averages. But if we play at our best you would fancy a very decent haul from those three games. I'm even tempted to say that the fat lady would be starting to warble.

Unless you win promotion on the same say as you win the league (highly unlikely), you can't win the league until you've gained promotion. Promotion first, then worry about the title.

Win promotion first and then if we won the championship that would be the icing on the cake. One step at a time, the most important thing is a top 2 finish. I don't want Derby in third to win at Burnley.
ealingfox Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 Although like anyone else, I would have to take 2nd right now if offered, but I have to admit I would be really quite disappointed if we didn't win the title now. We have been and are the best team in the league this season, and I want the final standings to reflect that. I want us to be Champions and lift a trophy, albeit not a major one, and look down on Forest, Derby and QPR (for me particularly) and say "You're shit". Our target should be 100 points from here, and it's certainly achievable. 10 wins from 14, or 9 wins and 2 draws does it.
Kitchandro Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 Why would we take 2nd when we're almost certain to finish in the top 2 anyway and we're likely to do better and finish top? Leave it up to fate I would say, I'm confident enough in these boys.

Fox92 Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 Derby/Burnley draw and a Leicester City win would be perfect for Saturday. Then we'd be 10 points clear of second, that would be brilliant! I do think Derby are more than capable of getting something against Burnley as well.

Burnley's home record and Derby's record against the top 6 would suggest otherwise, I can't see anything other than a Burnley win personally.
Kitchandro Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 A Burnley win wouldn't be the end of the world.
Dan Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 I wanted Burnley to beat Forest and I want them to beat Derby too. Sod them pair. Lets get further ahead of third and lets bring a bearable club with us.
Buzzell Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 Who cares if Burnley win, as long as we keep winning.
Corky Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 STAT ALERT: In 2011, QPR went up as champions and finished 17th. Norwich finished 12th and Swansea 11th. In 2012, Reading went up as champions and finished 19th. Southampton finished 14th and West Ham 10th. In 2013, Cardiff went up as champions and are currently 19th. Hull are 11th and Crystal Palace are 16th, both with real chances to survive. Sure you want to win the league?

lancyclaret Posted 26 February 2014 Posted 26 February 2014 Don't mind if Leicester win 13 of their last 14 games as long as they have an off-day at Turf Moor in a few weeks' time.
