foxfanazer Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 I was just thinking about the current squad and their transfer fees. All the players that have contributed this season have pretty much pad off their transfer fees imo. There isn't one that I can think of where yhey haven't lived up to or exceeded their original fee
Fox42 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Schmeichel - £1.5m De Laet - £1m Morgan - £2.5m Wasilewski - £1m (age, init) Konchesky - £450k Knockaert - £3m Drinkwater - £4.5m James - £2.5m Dyer - £800k Vardy - £2.5m Nugent - £2m Moore - £3.5m Schlupp - £1m Mahrez - £1m Taylor-Fletcher - £500k (age, init) Phillips - £350k (granddad, init) King - £850k Wood - £900k
Vlad the Fox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Sorry scratch that. Misread post, kids were distracting me. They're now grounded.
Mark_w Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Wasn't Morgan 1m? He's saying that's how much they're worth now I think. It's certainly not what we paid for them.
foxfanazer Posted 23 February 2014 Author Posted 23 February 2014 I wasn't really getting at how much they are worth now. My point really was that they have worked off their original transfer fees. Although it is good to see that their value is increasing. Never had that at Leicester
dmayne7 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Schmeichel - £1.5m De Laet - £1m Morgan - £2.5m Wasilewski - £1m (age, init) Konchesky - £450k Knockaert - £3m Drinkwater - £4.5m James - £2.5m Dyer - £800k Vardy - £2.5m Nugent - £2m Moore - £3.5m Schlupp - £1m Mahrez - £1m Taylor-Fletcher - £500k (age, init) Phillips - £350k (granddad, init) King - £850k Wood - £900k Think I'd disagree with every single one of those valuations especially De Laet, King and Wood.

Schlupp, one could argue, should be more due to his potential. King and Wood are arguably too low. But those three
Munshi Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Schmeichel - 3-4 Million De Laet - 3 Million Morgan - 2 Million Moore - 5 Million+ (Young, English) Konchesky - 1 million. Knockaert - 3 Million+ Drinkwater - 3 Million+ (So much talent, fairly young, English) James - Same as Drinkwater Dyer - Would never leave, no value. Nugent - 2 Million Vardy - 3 million. I'm probably miles off with most of them and a little biased. The vast majority of them are wrong, but they are the stand out ones. 1 million for Was?! he's not worth that much at all! and neither are the other two experienced players. foxes_rule1978 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 As far as my concerned they all add it to potentially 120 million...
foxfanazer Posted 23 February 2014 Author Posted 23 February 2014 Everybody has totally missed the point of the thread
Stadt Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 If we were to sell them all on we'd make a hefty profit.
Vlad the Fox Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 Everybody has totally missed the point of the thread I agree, I think they have all worked off their fees.
LCCFox96 Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 The players Sven had bought, like Schmeichel and Nuge have really stepped up to the plate and those that remain have - so far - been worth the money. Nigel's buys like Drinkwater, James and RDL have all improved massively and shown signs of further improvement too. Most of them have been key players - again so far so good. The experienced frees have been worth every penny in wages - especially Wasyl and Kev - bringing a lot to the team and a few academy graduates in there as well. Good stuff so far. Value for money up till this point in the season. Just need to keep it up for the remaining games.
Munshi Posted 23 February 2014 Posted 23 February 2014 The bid for Jeff was less than a million Was it?http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Transfer-news-Leicester-City-reject-2-5m-bid-Jeff/story-20537354-detail/story.html
