Giving a contract now can lead to complacency, and the owners want to avoid this. I find that totally understandable. I'm sure Nige understands it too. The less the club talk about it, the less the press will.

Just got a feeling that Nige and the thais have sorted out a pre-contract depending on promotion, and are keeping it quiet so as not to distract the team. Nige is notorious for keeping his cards close to his chest, even when their are rumours flying about all over the place about various things. He'll be here next season, regardless.

Agree he will be a wanted man if/when we are promoted, but I dissagree with the risky bit. A top six side is unlikely to come in for him, and the rest of the premiere league is relegation fodder, as we will be. Surely Nigel will want to see what he can do in the PL with this team, his team. Cannot see his head being turned by anyone.
