Next 3/4 Games

It's not necessarily those 4 games. If we got offered 9/12 for those games I'd so happily take that. What we must do is pick our points up in those games to be ready for the Burnley game. Imo it's the last game we really can't afford to lose. Should we go to Turf Moor and win on the back of these 4 games (obs with good results) we should be guaranteed to go up but not only that we'd deserve it and probably as champions at that.

Was massively impressed with work rate right until the end of the end on Sat. 3-0 up and in cruise control in the 85th minute and players were still closing down as though their lives depended on it.

Agree with this. If all players perform like Was did on Saturday for the rest of the season we should be fine.

Burnley next 4

(A) Blackburn

(A) Birmingham

(H) Leeds

(A) Charlton

I can see them slipping up a couple of times in those 4 games, like us they face Blackburn away, which will be tough, they also still have to travel to Watford and Reading. They also still have to play Wigan at home, all tough games.

Anything other than 15 points from our next 4 games would be a disgrace.

I think the next 4 games are all games we ought to win. However, I can see one poor performance, so I'll go for 10 points out of 12, with a draw coming at Blackburn. It is though, one game at a time and if we keeping chalking off the wins, the pressure on those below us increases. 84 points with 9 games left, even relegation form would see us promoted, probably as champions.

Looking at the fixtures, Id say the next 4 games could IMO all but guarentee promotion.

We have:

Barnsley A

Blackpool H

Blackburn A

Yeovil H

Derby have:

Millwall H

Bolton H

Reading A

Forest H

Now we have a 13 point gap. If we were to either keep that gap or increase it with 9 games to play, we would be up I think.

Derby will drop at least 2-5 points from that..so if we get 8+ Id say making it up with 9 to play would be near on impossible.

We're up when we've got a P next to our name and not before.

If your talking situations beyond reasonable doubt we're there now. 13 clear with 13 to play with the fixtures we've got compared to an over performing Derby side with QPR in free fall just below them and Forest struggling below them 19 points behind us, Wigan will be a force in the last 13 games and will get play offs but they've got no chance of making up 22 points to us. It'll take a collapse of some magnitude for us to fck this up, but it remains a slight possibility.

Fact remains until it's Mathematically impossible, or at least get's the the stage where someones got to go out and score 10 goals in one game in order to over take us. Fan's players and manager alike should not ever consider the team "up"

Convinced if Blackburn away was surrounded by a slightly harder run then people wouldn't fear them a fraction as much. No side who loses 4-0 at Bolton worries me.

We'll win our next four IMO. Can see Barnsley and even Yeovil giving us a scare, but we'll do enough to win them.

Clear blip and not in keeping with the rest of their season. They've had some good results at Ewood, the draw with Man City standing out, foolish to dismiss them off the back of one game. Not saying we can't win but it'll be a tough game.

I'll be happy with 10 points from the next 4. No reason why we can't beat all 4 of them though is there?

They're an average side and I said it before the Bolton game. We have beaten better sides than Blackburn this season and I think people are over-estimating them just because the game there is surrounded by the likes of Barnsley, Blackpool & Yeovil.

A draw wouldn't be a disaster but I can't pretend I'd be happy with it.

I've followed City for so long, and had so many disappointments, that it's almost impossible to believe it's going to happen. But from what I've heard, and the little I've seen these past few weeks, it looks like we're still going for it even when we're three up against indifferent opposition. That must be scary for the other teams in the division, even ones like Burnley and Wigan (both of whom will, I think, go up).

I'm still not going to say we're up until, as someone else says, there's a 'P' against our name. Remember 1963, said he, putting on his "old fart" hat.

Remember last year!

But I don't see why we can't possibly go on another winning run on current form.

There is now NO reason why we can't continue winning games. Wigan and Burnley away will be tough, but our run-in is generally not too difficult.

It would take a loss in form of almost unprecedented proportions for us to fook it all up now.

All the signs are there that this is going to be our season.

Again.. its no only points in front, its how we are playing that's important. We look like a promotion side.

I would expect/hope Burnley to drop points at Blackburn, vs Us, at Watford, vs Wigan & at Reading. That's not very many points dropped at all tbf.

I hope your right Col and I think you are tbf

However one game at a time and at the moment I refuse to look further than Barnsley away (which will be a tough game as they are fighting for their lives etc) :fc: Leicester win

Going on that assumption that's at least 90 points they'll be on.

Yeah I did the maths after I said that. I can't see (on current form) many other places they will drop points. I thought at home to Wigan and away to Watford was being harsh on them too lol

I can barely see anywhere we will drop points either so maybe I'm just not being realistic. We (and Burnley and to some extent Derby) just look so much better than everyone we play atm.
