foxfanazer Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Other than promotion (if we make it) what will you remember most from this season? For me it will be three things Firstly the 4-1 against Derby. That for me is as good a performance I've seen from a City side. We totally dominated and played some sublime football and that's when everybody started to take notice of us. We have never looked back since. Secondly just for the pandemonium of the celebration was Drinkwater's equaliser against Watfordinese. I jumped on my mates back and he dropped his phone amd smashed the screen but we just carried on celebrating Unbelievable scenes! And finally Vardy's winner against QPR, for some reason that's my favourite goal of the season. Great flick by Nuge, turn of pace by Vardy and smashes it low in the bottom corner. Wonderful! I'm sure we all will take different memories from this season so thought it would be good to hear them
Buzzell Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Drinkwater's consistency, Record breaking winning run, That squirrel, And hopefully automatic promotion to the BIG TIME!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Good call re Drinky equaliser against Watdinese, mental scenes at the end 2nd goal against Charlton, really good team goal whichever result gets us promotion will be amazing
Captain... Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Idiots still finding something to moan about!!! Irony?
MC Prussian Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 I'd agree with many suggestions on here: The 4-1 win over Derby on TV - great advertisement for our club and the league as a whole (although not really representative of the level in general ) The unbeaten run The club records we've beaten during that spell The unity amongst the players/Pearson having formed his own team finally The respect and praise from other clubs' fans The Thais canceling out our debt Dyer's revival (at age 31!) The Anderlecht fans' support for Marcin Wasilewski

Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Equaliser against F@@@st can't be ignored either, vital goal whilst down to 10 men etc etc
mikey54 Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Agree with the above - plus a few others. 1. We've shipped out a few big earners who rarely performed 2. Quality players on the bench 3. We must be one of the top teams in the 'fair play' league 4. The possibility of 2 'twenty for the season' goal scorers 5. Playing a system that works - and works well
John Munday Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 For personal reasons, Super Kev's winner against Bournemouth, watched among the home fans. Reminded me of home so much
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Strange as it sounds losing away at Brighton/Sheff Weds started our great run of results and propelled us to where we are now and must of been a key turning point in the season
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 SK1Good call, if it takes off like it did against Charlton and grows it will be a really important moment IMO
Vlad the Fox Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 4-1 v derby, probably the best performance I've seen at this level. Also derby away early in the season. I was sat in a field at a campsite in derbyshire listening to a whinging radio derby, ear phones in with a beer and a smug grin. I noticed a few City shirts in the bar that evening. The realisation just before Christmas that this could be our year also gave me a warm glow as well.
lc4lcfc Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 The squirrel "We're leicester city, we'll play in the dark" The record breaking run
Vicki Vixen Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 For the first time in over 10 years, remembering what it feels like to watch us play in the knowledge that each and every player actually gives a sh1t and knows what it means to wear the shirt.
Guest MattP Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 The completion of the whole ethos of the football club turning from the has been, greed and selfishness of Svens reign to the hunger, desire and youthfulness of Nigels.

shade Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 The completion of the whole ethos of the football club turning from the has been, greed and selfishness of Svens reign to the hunger, desire and youthfulness of Nigels. I thought selfishness and greed were traits you admired? sorry, I'll stop now.
Guest MattP Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 I thought selfishness and greed were traits you admired? sorry, I'll stop now. You are confusing Ambition and Success with Selfishness and Greed. Don't worry many people do.
LanguedocFox Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 I started writing things but ended up with a list as long as your arm. Cutting it down to the core points, what I will remember this season for is the way the team has matured and started to flourish. In the middle of last season (just before that bad-but-not-disastrous run) I said I though we had a squad with the potential to be the best since the one we had in the late 90s. This season, that potential is starting to be fulfilled: I think (hope?) that in five years' time, we will be looking back on this season as the year it all started to come right.
Topman Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 Knockaert goal v Watford! Liam Moore 1st goal for the club when he did about 20 celebrations in 5 seconds Drinkwater goal v Watford!
Fox92 Posted 7 March 2014 Posted 7 March 2014 The unbeaten run, no doubt about it. But just having a good manager with his head screwed on, building a great side who actually make you proud and pleased to support Leicester. The amount of rubbish we've sat through since our relegation in 03/04, virtually everything expect the two times Nige was here, now it's just wonderful to see us being the force in the League. I don't go into games thinking we'll lose today, it's a pleasure to turn up and watch us dominate games. And, lastly, the James and Drinkwater partnership. I love it.
