80footgiraffe Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 I think Nuge wasn't at his best but didn't do too badly. The flick-on to Vardy's offside goal was dreamy. His dragged shot though was a bit disappointing, but hey, we won, great day.

Foxes never quit and neither do a strong healthy squad who play together so well and has surpassed my thoughts of how we would do this season, the first year for god knows how long I didn't put a bet on us to go up!!!' Even our subs look way better than Blackpool's first 11. If we had a reserve side in the Championship as well as the first 11, they would probably be sitting second in the League. Drinkwater looks a class above - but as for Mahrez... Oh. My. GOD.

kingfox Posted 15 March 2014 Posted 15 March 2014 Just got back. That's how you finish a game off! First half was very frustrating, we had lots of chances, but none that really tested Gilks, Vardy had two golden opportunities both wide. Knockaert & James for me struggled in the first half, Drinkwater was controlling everything from midfield, Mahrez looked lively, but apart from that it was frustrating. But as we pushed on in the second half & got the first goal, we were absolute class from then on. The passing was sublime, Mahrez & Drinkwater were instrumental, and the majority of our better play came from them. When you get to see Mahrez's goal, just sit back in awe and admire the lad's play. It was a World Class strike, and the kind of goal that makes you really want to kick on and win the game. His cross as well for Morgan's goal was sublime, the amount of work he had to do just to get it in was hard enough, but to produce a final ball like that inch perfect was quality. Then of course Super Kev finished it off, good finish as well. Overall, second half performance was excellent. Mahrez & Drinkwater top class, honorable mentions to Wasilewski again he was solid, and Jeff was terrific again, going forward and defensively. Well done lads
