Leicester City v Blackpool Post Match Thread 3 - 1

I think it's nice that we won (and deservedly) without Vardy or Drinks having their best games. And also, coming from behind. We haven't had to do that often.

We started the match well but dropped off the pace for the 2nd half of the 1st half.

2nd half we stepped it up and did well to break down a side who put everyone behind the ball.

MOTM to Mahrez, some tricky stuff, good passing, a great goal and an assist (should have been 2 assists).

1.  Two good substitutions in my view.  There wasn't much room in behind there back four so on comes GTF (who is a clever and better player than some give him credit for) and the fox in the box KP, who always finds space in the box.

2.  The ref wasn't the best but I have seen worse.

3.  Schulpp, Mahrez, Drinky were excellent.

3.  A quote from everyone's friend Harry Redknapp's autobiography "If you've got good players who understand the game, managing can be easy.  It's the rest of us that get driven mad by it".

4.  Now I'm off to get intoxicated and pull some munter :).

Only low point for me was the thieving day tripping slag next to me made of with my programme, bitch.

The vision from Taylor-fletcher to set up phillips's goal was brilliant, totally unselfish as he could have had a shot himself!!!!

The ref wouldn't book them for anything, then booked someone for a minor foul on Schlupp. He also booked Vardy for a nudge then a defender did the same on him and he didn't even give a foul.. He was pretty amateurish. Not the worst but still not good enough.

In all seriousness though, I do like the look of the Leicester side. Like Burnley you seem to be very resilient. So when I saw you'd gone a goal down I wasn't in much doubt that you'd turn it around! I'm thankful we did the same! :)

You only had 1 shot and scored 2 goals according to bbc sport!! ;)

Wow, didn't see that coming, personally I thought the 1st half/start of the 2nd was one of the poorest this season - Which let's be fair, there has been much poor about this season.

Didn't look like we were at the races for me.

I couldn't see us getting the draw let alone the win, but wow once we got the first (And what a goal it was) there was no stopping us, we were back to our best, looking unstopable.

Brilliant.

completely agree with this. first half was poor no tempo to and city seemed to get dragged down by the way blackpoolhad set themselves up. also thought ref was awful did not have a clue but thankfully we pulled it round .even i think we are up know and im one of the most negative fans around.

Pleased with out patience today. Didn't get frustrated and carried on with our game. In the end, football won but more importantly, we did.

It was always going to be frustrating. They were only ever going to come and sit back catch us out like they did and try and see it out.

A sublime piece of individual brilliance got us level and sheer determination won us the points. Another sign of how much of a top quality side we are at the minute. Our energy levels, will to win and confidence levels are fantastic.

10 more points will do it for me, albeit 17 mathematically.

He booked their guy for cumulative fouls (took him long enough), and Vardy deliberately tripped their guy in frustration at running the ball out of play, definite booking.

Still a rubbish ref.

Good win. resiliant performance and back into it well. Not quite as complete as the previous three games but none the less a good win. 3 more points ticked off the list and onto the next one. Nice to see Kev on the scoresheet as well.

Just pulled a beer out of the 'fridge and paused to take a long, hard look at the champagne I put in there a few weeks back in readiness for our PL return. I swear it winked at me and said "soon" !!!

I was worried that we wouldn't be able to sort this one out, then Mahrez popped up - what a loveable little rouge he is turning out to be.

Can we all hold a moments silence for the death of Nottingham Forest's season

Stunning, our play is what we've dreamed of for the last 15 years and more. Wasteful first half, but really their goal doesn't tell the full story.

Haha I like the gifs but I don't think we need to get too excited about their annual bottle, it was always going to happen and it's not like they've ever been a threat to us this season anyway.

Compared to some of the utter shite served up over the years, and even this season in places, some of the football first half, even though we were losing and even though we missed easy chances was fantastic. First 10 minutes especially our play and movement was up there with the best I've ever seen.
