Banks Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 http://the72.co.uk/2013/12/01/all-72-average-away-attendances/ We'll be ahead of Forest, Wednesday and Wolves soon I reckon. I know we are top but we've always had consistently good away support, it helps when we have a pretty large fanbase. Well done Leicester fans, let's sell out at Burnley and show people who are watching the game on Sky how brilliant our supporters are.
MattGamble92 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 You can't really look into this too much just on averages. Cov took about 8k to mk dons and have generally been absolute shit apart from that. Derby did the same at Barnsley and have possibly the worst away support for a club of that size. Where as we haven't really had any bad away games in terms of numbers. We have been unlucky that games we'd usually take bigger numbers have either been on a Tuesday or on TV. And add to that we were only allowed 2k at Florsit where we'd usually take 4,600. In other words we are the best
Kitchandro Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 What the fvck are we playing at being behind Forest? And Wolves for that matter.
HEGGSY Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Wolves did take 9k to someone last week didn't they?
AndWhat? Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Had real bad luck with some of our games this season.

We've had Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham and Barnsley midweek and Watford, QPR and Leeds televised. Add in Forests peculiar policy of limiting us to 2,000 and there are 7 matches out of 18 that have been affected in one way or another. With some big away ends coming up and, given our good form, I'd expect us to climb up to 2nd or 3rd in that table between now and the season's end.
ScouseFox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 This. We've had Sheffield Wednesday, Birmingham and Barnsley midweek and Watford, QPR and Leeds televised. With some big away ends coming up and, given our good form, I'd expect us to climb up to 2nd or 3rd in that table between now and the season's end. you can add wigan & burnley to that list of almost certain sell outs of big away capacities that will more than likely be ruined by tv/midweek moves. we'd have almost definitely sold out wigan's 5k or whatever it is @ £20 a ticket after going 15 unbeaten or whatever it was at the time on a Saturday at 3pm. anything over 2.5k would be impressive now it's been shafted to a tuesday night. so another away end halved effectively.
RonnieTodger Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 A few games where we would have taken big numbers have been midweek or on tv. I think on a Saturday, we'd have taken loads to Sheffield Wednesday and Wigan. Shame, really.
Kitchandro Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Excuses aren't really good enough though. We should still be in front of them considering our position.
Fox92 Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 What the fvck are we playing at being behind Forest? And Wolves for that matter. Wolves are very well supported, always have been.
AKCJ Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Only us and Leeds in the Championship have taken 1k+ to every away game this season.
Stadt Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Only us and Leeds in the Championship have taken 1k+ to every away game this season.Good stat
SystonFox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 What the fvck are we playing at being behind Forest? And Wolves for that matter. Poor tbf PEARSON OOT!
Dan Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Excuses aren't really good enough though. We should still be in front of them considering our position. If Forest had the amount of bad luck with away games as us this season then we'd be above them. No doubt about it. Wolves is understandable. Big away ends, cheaper tickets and the likes of MK Dons - they're taking nearly 9,000 there next week.
Soar Fox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Only us and Leeds in the Championship have taken 1k+ to every away game this season. Strange one that is. I would have thought Derby, Sheffield wednesday, Nottingham forest would have took over a thousand to all their away games. Would be interested to see which games they didn't take over a thousand too.
One Legged Beaver Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 I'd expect out average to rise a bit after our next few away game: Burnley - Potential title decider Wigan - Should get a huge allocation.
Dan Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Derby barely managed a thousand for their first away of the season at Brighton. Wednesday only took 3 figures to Leeds. Forest I'm going to assume was Middlesbrough last week.

I'm guessing some of their fans were doing a bit of a boycott because of the ridiculous prices they charge.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 Ours is good solid support as always and as others have said I think when you factor in some of the large away followings we will be taking to some teams soon I'm sure our average will quite rightly overtake the red scums

Soar Fox Posted 25 March 2014 Posted 25 March 2014 The same Derby who have brought 800 to us in the past? They're away support is seriously laughable Yeah they've had a good season so it did surprise me that they've not took at least a thousand to every game.
