CountesthorpeFox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 A superb performance. Do not like to single out players but the central midfield was exceptional. We are not there yet. Come on, lets get behind em and make it happen. LCFC.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 You really don't understand, do you? You've obviously spent less, but as the table is showing... your players are obviously worth a lot. You could sell Ings for more than we spent on our entire squad. easily. You could probably double it to be honest. You don't see Nige moaning about that do you? Say if we were to lose today to an Ings hat trick, nobody in the league can afford a player whose market value is 10m+. Is that an unfair advantage? No, no more than spending money anyway. Dyche's comments let himself down because they're clearly ill informed and dated. We took a punt of a lad from Fleetwood who is our top scorer from open play this season so, yeah, I think we would. This is a really weird way of looking at things.

Thracian Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Wholly impressed. The goals were to be remembered, Knockaert so close to adding some more and the determined way we closed people down early and in all areas to deny time and space was excellent, as was the focus of our counter-attacking. Just loved the second and clinching goal - it somehow summed up the performance in being spectacularly top drawer and a statement that said "beat that if you can". I don't think anyone will but let's finish the job with the same attitude.

The original talk was money spent, that's where Dyche's comments came from.... And besides, why discount the market value of some of our players; Drinky, James, Moore, Vardy, Schmeichel, etc.
harpendenfox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Simply a magical day. There was a little lad standing up with his Dad next to me. Can't have been more than 4. Looked a bit anxious as the game started, but his smile became broader as events unfolded. Totally absorbed in the game he was. Proper fan for life no doubt. And so it begins.
Babylon Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 We bought Matt Mills for 5m. That doesn't mean he's worth that much. You've not spent much but your squad is probably worth more than ours and that's why it's annoyed us. What on earth are you talking about.Anyway, Dyche came across as a complete and utter bitter twat in that interview. Shame really as most burnley fans have been decent.
GorlestonFox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 We are a bigger club than Burnley. Of course we are going to spend more money. I don't even understand why this needs to be argued
Happy Fox Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Dyche was disrespectful imo, whereas NP showed class.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Why does Dyche talk like he's been gurgling my shit?
jimmer Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Dyche always comes across as a bitter whiney bitch whenever they lose. Always frigging moaning. Hilarious really.
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Fans in this division keep going on about how we spent shit loads of money on players. Pearson streamlined the squad and in essence has not spent a substantial amount. In fact he has sold players for a lot more and replaced them with cheaper options. If these fans are going to throw the old you spent loads cos of Sven did. It's time to have a look at the spending Howe did before Dyche came in. A lot more of those players are in that squad than we have players from the Sven era. Anyway, we played in 2nd or 3rd gear and looked comfortable. Wood's goal was exquisite and his contribution turned the Game completely in our favour. The entire squad has contributed to this season which makes it even better!! Can't wait to finally use the match choice option on sky next year!
KFS Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 I bet Sean Dyche's mum is fvck ugly, happy Mother's Day, Mrs Dyche.
shade Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 the market value argument is nonsense, fees paid and wages paid are obviously relevant. I also bizarrely thought wood did push him for the last goal, I was under the impression you were allowed to shoulder barge but not push with hands? all that said, I thought dychebag was pretty poor and ungracious after the match, especially after I'm sure I lip read nige saying to dyche how much he respected what they had done before the match.

If that's a foul then football is a non contact sport
Socks Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 I've just watched the post match interview with dyche what a sore ginger tosser of a loser that man is Another one moaning of 'injuries', another one moaning of the "decisions" on the day, another one moaning that we have spent 'millions' and he was smug about it all the way through before this match i had a lot of respect for him but now I hope Burnley lose every fvcking game and drop into the playoffs what a tosser
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 I bet Sean Dyche's mum is fvck ugly, happy Mother's Day, Mrs Dyche. Dyche's goatie is her vagina. True story
Socks Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Dyche's goatie is her vagina. True story I bet they both smell of baked beans
Super_horns Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 I couldn't believe somebody tough and uncompromising as Dyche thought that 2nd goal was a foul! The game really has gone soft if people like him think the slightest nudge should be a free kick.
THEBIGJOHNSTEADER; Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 I bet they both smell of baked beans To be fair sometimes when I shave my growler and I'm out of shaving foam or hot water I'll reach for the beans. Solid substitute. May I ask do you use Heinz or an own branded bean?
MooseBreath Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 One good thing about Burnley if they do go up is that I reckon Dyche will totally lose his head in the premiership. Just reading a few of his interviews and he seems a bit out of his depth already. Should be an easy three points for us before he is inevitably sacked before christmas.

blue army 1988 Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Without the good scouting work and managelment of howe before dyche burnly would never have been in this automatic promotion place.
Scoobyrob Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 In every professional sport around the globe you have big and little teams, rich and poor teams, good and bad teams. That is because sport is a business. But what we should have done as a club at the start of the season was to ask Burnley how much they were going to spend on wages and transfer fees so we could produce a team of comparison. Then we would have not played our 4 best players in this game just to make the game a fair battle. But because we didn't I hardly slept a wink last night out of sheer guilt. WHAT A JOKE!
FoxInTheBox89 Posted 30 March 2014 Posted 30 March 2014 Dyche comments wasnt an attack on Leicester it was more an excuse for his own teams poor performance.
