It's hard to argue with an assist and a goal, but for me today's game was won behind the strikers where both Knocky and Mahrez terrorised Burnley's feeble attempts to get out of their own half, disrupting their attacks before they even got going - at times you'd have been forgiven for thinking Nigel had put 2 full backs up there. Giving it to Tony because he was more effective at both closing down and pushing forwards on the ball, though major credit has to go to Riyad for the way he regularly calmed down midfield scrambles by finding a bit of space to move or pass into.

 

Edit: And apparently I am alone in thinking so.

I gone for Drinky, he was simply faultess, put in some critical tackles and his passing was first class.

wood has to get it for his impact on the game but Knocky comes in second for me, had his best game in ages especially his battling midfield play, De Laet also a close third choice

Could literally have gone to anyone today, everyone performed their role to a high standard. Probably just have to give it to Wood for being instrumental in breaking them down.

so ignoring vardy, who went off early with an injury, every outfield player has votes today. i love this squad.

A bit harsh on Knockaert I think, but Nugent was right to complain about our Frenchman's selfishness today. Other than that, I thought Anthony ran his socks off and was unlucky not to score.

 

Still, with one goal and one assist, the MOTM award for the Burnley game must surely go to Chris Wood.

Filled in so nicely for Vardy and was a constant threat up front with his physical presence.

I found it hard to decide, I can see why people ended up going for Wood but I found it hard to choose. Went for Wasyl in the end.
