Wigan Match Thread

Reading your post, one could think we're struggling to gain a playoff place this season.

Why? I've only said that our back up isn't good enough to be starting against (our first 11 aside) the best team in the league. If we'd have played this side against Burnley everyone would have gone mental but IMO this Wigan side is much stronger than the Burnley side without Marney, Ings and Trippier.

I think we'd have been fine with our best 11 but we've made it harder than it should have been IMO.

awful final ball tonight.

Knocky the main culprit. But at least he looks dangerous and you can bet that he'll pull something off.

THE MANAGER thinks they need a rest... and we can do so BECAUSE we beat Burnley.

There is a lot of space in wide areas seeing as they are not playing any full backs, we need to be more positive when we have the ball and actually send more players forward. When Nugent has it Wood seems to be nowhere near him atm.

But I think he's wrong to do that. I forgot I wasn't allowed an opinion on a football forum

If he'd rested players because they'd played well in previous games then why was he so reluctant to change winning sides? This is an opportunity to put daylight between us and Burnley, i'm amazed that he hasn't grasped that opportunity by playing his strongest 11 (no guarantees of winning with that 11 as the Yeovil game proved of course).

If we played this side against Burnley everyone would have been furious when we're probably playing a better team tonight than the one we did on Saturday.
