Knockaert has been absolutely everywhere.

He's lost the ball a few times but the guy is just desperate for the ball. Given the number of players we've had over the years who have hidden at the slightest sign of trouble it's such a breath of fresh air.

We've been shit tonight and could easily be down 2 or 3 goals, thankfully we're not.

Making 6 changes just asked for problems and we've had them. We could have had a much more comfortable night (nothing is certain in Football of course) if we'd played the side that brushed aside the team second in the league. Apologies for being anxious, i've followed this club for long enough to know that we don't do it the easy way and tonight could we've made problems for ourselves.

I just want us to hurry up and get promoted before we start playing players that have only played 5/10 minute cameos all season. Especially against the form sides in the league away from home.

I'm not saying that the wheels are coming off or any of that crap apart from the fact that we've made things very hard for ourselves tonight because we've underestimated a side that is going to Wembley because they beat Man City at the Etihad.

There was no reason to make changes tonight and if it was because of fatigue then why were those changes not made in what was deemed a more "comfortable" fixture last Tuesday versus Yeovil?

We have NOT underestimated them.

Just because you make changes doesn't mean it is with the intention of playing a weaker side.

The comparison with Burnley is quite frankly a joke. Yes they are 2nd in the league, but without their 4 players on Saturday we were playing a midtable side. Wigan are a better side than Burnley and have better depth, but their stupid decision to hire Coyle, who has done nothing in the game apart from burnley is the very reason they are In the play-offs.

We look decent, especially considering the 6 changes.

Are people seriously advocating that we play the same players for 4 games in 11 days?

It's like Christmas. The reason it's this game is the lack of recovery time between now and Friday.

No they seem to be saying that we weakened the team BEFORE Burnley against Yeovil... seemingly missing the point that our first team couldn't even beat Yeovil and that was before we beat Burnley.

Quite clearly we have kept as strong as possible for as long as we can, the Burnley game (and the other results that weekend) have now put us in a position where we are able to rest people that need a rest.

Pearson clearly thought it best to be at full strength in the Wed games, rather than this game, that's his call and I can think of a few reasons why he would do that.

As I said it's recovery time. City will take into players with knocks etc and not play them in the chance of worsening an injury.

Pearson has prioritised clearly the next home fixtures as the games to bring it home.

Had to turn stream off in the end because the quality was annoying me, managed to miss both goals because it froze.

From what I seen though Wigan were playing well and we defended well last ditch and the break was always on for us.

Take more care in final third and there's goals for us tonight but they're dangerous.

lol same here mate, try sportlemon that one is the best

I've just seen they have Maloney on the bench. He's a quality player so why isn't he playing?!?!

Coming back from a big injury. If he was fit this season, he would have been signed by a PL team.

Coming back from injury I think.

You've contradicted yourself a bit there.

You suggest that Burnley are severely weakened when they made changes, but we're not?

Sorry, but I don't think that a midfield of Hammond and King gets a team to the top of the table. Good squad players but I don't think they're good enough when matched up against their midfield, particularly away from home.

I'm just baffled as to why we didn't make these changes before the Yeovil game (when we did look tired) but we have after the Burnley game (where we looked like we could run all day).

We've made it much harder for ourselves than it need be tonight against a side I have no doubt would be with us had they appointed Rosler in the first place.

We've either underestimated them or picked a ridiculous time to make changes. It's just my opinion of course, although i'll get called a moaner for sure.

Pearson has rolled the dice today, but if he gets a point I'm sure he will see that has the right decision... It seems we are banking on a win over Wednesday if we want to keep this cousion to the title.

Even though we got battered at the start of the first half, we held up well and that we managed to equalize is testament to the team spirit.

We've got so much quality in this squad, it's unbelievable.

Reading your post, one could think we're struggling to gain a playoff place this season.

Why are a few moaning about the changes. 3 games in under 7 days. Also this is our bonus game lose still 15 points clear. Prefer to play the better team v wednesday.

I said a few minutes before the match started, that I'd be very surprised if we won the midfield battle.

McArthur, Gomez, Powell & Collison are all Premier League quality, plus they are playing five in midfield against our four, therefore they have that man advantage, while finally Hammond isn't really good enough, while Knocky & King seem to be having a mixed game so far.

Nothing to worry about though, changes were always going to be made, despite if we were playing Wigan or not, who are on paper probably on par with us as the most strongest side in the division.

Whoever feels stressed, chill out and smoke some weed.
