I'll admit I wasn't expecting this, not to say it wasn't deserved! :D

Same here, well done Nige!

Genuinely suprised Howe didn't get it. Well in though Nige. Hopefully he gets Manager of the year ahead of Dyche

That's a thought I've had for a while, too. Champions should dictate that, but there's no denying that if SD takes the Clarets up that he has worked a small miracle on their resources. Tough call.

It is a tough call. I just hope they take into account just how much of a job Pearson has done and don't tar him with the 'Leicester big spenders' brush

Same here. I think Bournemouth got the same amount of points than us and as we just continued or season romp I thought that Bournemouth's achievements would have stood out more.

Never mind. Nige is still a deserving winner!

Congrats to Pearson for getting that award. Thoroughly deserved.

Here's the complete coverage from the Mercury:

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson wins Sky Bet Championship manager of the month

Nigel Pearson has been named the Sky Bet Championship manager of the month for the second time in three months.

After winning the award for January following City's perfect month in the league, Pearson has again been awarded the prize after guiding his side to the cusp of promotion to the Premier League during March.

City scored nine goals in three consecutive wins against Charlton, Barnsley and Blackpool, and picked up valuable draws at Blackburn and in added-time against Yeovil before finishing the month by becoming the first side in more than a year to win a league game at promotion rivals Burnley.

Pearson won ahead of Doncaster boss and former City striker Paul Dickov, Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe and Burnley boss Sean Dyche.

"I am delighted with the award," said Pearson. "It is an indication of how we work here.

"It is nice to pick up the award individually, but it is down to the hard work that is put in by everyone at the club.

"It is a big thank you to the staff and the players. The players go out and play.

"You can only achieve something in a team sport with the backing and support of the people you work with.

"That is the staff and the players, and I would like to think that everyone associated with the club is working very hard to move us forward.

"You get a sense of that and a feel about the club. It is very nice to achieve that.

"To win this award at this stage of the season is always tough," he said. "From the new year is when a lot of the outcomes of the season are decided.

"When you look at us last year we had a tough time, and our season didn't end the way that we wanted it to.

"I think it shows you how far we have come as a side.

"It is great to win it at this stage of the season but now it is back to business.

"I enjoy doing the job but I have to make sure I do it in the right way. And I do, I think.

"My job is to keep the players fully focused on the job in hand.

"I want us to pick up as many points as we can this season, so that means winning as many games as we can."

Won 4, drawn 2, lost 0.

What did Bournemouth do?

Good stuff though. The impact it'll have on tonights result however... is nothing, like has always been the case.

Thought Howe was nailed on, well done Nige!

To be fair to Nige.

We did only concede 3 goals in 6 games, scoring 13 including a 2-0 win away at Burnley.
