Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Nice to see what the club really think of our fans tonight with the riot police lining the pitch. Jesus, wouldn't want us to actually enjoy ourselves. Bloody mood hoovers! Piss off!
DennisNedry Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Why were there so many coppers outside the ground before kick off too? Waste of taxes.
ADK Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 You can never be too careful when there's a risk of homophobic chanting.
tylesta Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Why were there so many coppers outside the ground before kick off too? Waste of taxes. people on here saying there going to invade the pitch i would imagine.
EnglishOxide Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Its a good job. On the pitch after losing 4-1? ****ing tinpot.
Number 6 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Leicester City, the Buzz Killington of football clubs.

kane Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 l1 looked a joke tonight , couldn't even get past 30 fat old security guards , the coppers didn't have to do a thing
tylesta Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Nice to see what the club really think of our fans tonight with the riot police lining the pitch. Jesus, wouldn't want us to actually enjoy ourselves. Bloody mood hoovers! Piss off! more and just the fans to worry about. Players saftey etc
Fez of Mahrez Posted 8 April 2014 Author Posted 8 April 2014 more and just the fans to worry about. Players saftey etc Yeah, we're going to celebrate promotion by attacking our own players. Actually wouldn't put that past some of our fans to be fair.
MooseBreath Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 What is the actual justification for carrying out large scale intimidation and the threat of physical violence just to prevent people from walking on a patch of grass? Obviously can't be health and safety or financial as riot police are more dangerous and more expensive than people walking on grass.
Danizen Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Anybody know the bloke who did the one-man pitch invasion? Let him go, let him go, let him goooo!!!!

Iwan is a Welshman Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Weren't you at Scunthorpe in '09? Why are you surprised?
LCFC FOX Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Everyone was just waiting for L1 to go first and half of them didn't care
tylesta Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Scunthorpe didn't they say that they wouldnt parade the trophy etc if there was a pitch invasion
TheUltimateWinner Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 The real question is, are the police here for every home game from now on?
Harry - LCFC Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 I've never felt more inclined to behave in a hooligan-type manner seeing the line of overly-equipped men in front of me tonight. It was like the fvcking Gestapo had been called upon to control the masses who might step out of line. What is the actual justification for carrying out large scale intimidation and the threat of physical violence just to prevent people from walking on a patch of grass? Obviously can't be health and safety or financial as riot police are more dangerous and more expensive than people walking on grass. It feels a lot like the club trying flex its muscles doesn't it? I've wondered why preventing a pitch invasion is such a priority too and can't think of a good answer. To me it just seems an effort to assert authority.

C-man Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 What disappointed me the most was the stewards who gave everything they had to stop people getting on at the bottom of L1. Admittedly my view wasn't great but looked more dangerous forcing people into an enclosed area than letting them spill out into a line of police. Never seen so many police though. More than at game vs Forest.
Bayfox Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Really don't get why you would want too. Had we been playing sheff weds last week at 3pm saturday and the results gone our way fine. But for me every pitch invasion has been spontaneous not pre planned for 4 days.
crisp packet Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 Why are we surprised????? The last pitch invasion in leicester was against spurs!! The last game at filbo . Going to be tight regarding the league, so might have one yet Tonight was embarrassing !

I would have thought the police ultimately choose what they're going to do, I'm not sure they can be privately hired by a football club. Either way it seems massively unbalanced.
BlueBoy1 Posted 8 April 2014 Posted 8 April 2014 To be fair to the boys in blue, speaking to someone today the club request policing levels and pay for the privilege. Police also respond to the clubs requests so in this case the pitch invasion or prevention of. I don't see the harm in an invasion myself!
