Samilktray Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Yep - no difference in quality between a Nike kit and Puma. The only real difference being that Nike being the market leases tend to control the market. Good luck if you want to go down the Nike route. You will look good in walking out of Tesco having purchased your Coca Cola. Outside of Nike & Adidas there is a difference in quality. Don't tell me porky pies young man, I know.
LEI.CES.TER Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Newcastle and now Arsenal are the only English clubs who get the proper Puma treatment, the rest of us have to deal with sleeves the size of Lloyd Dyer's penis and as baggy as Jordan's vag Hilarious!!!!
Rob1742 Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Outside of Nike & Adidas there is a difference in quality. Don't tell me porky pies young man, I know. I collect them, got hundreds, both player and replica version and ours are decent. The days of the poor quality scoreline and Jako are long gone. Absolutely nothing wrong with our Puma. You have been taken in by advertising making you think Nike is superior. Not true in shirts.
sly1 Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Hope so, black away kit would be lovely if they could do it tastefully. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Love those tops bring um on😎
jammie82uk Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Hope so, black away kit would be lovely if they could do it tastefully. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It's not black it states the colour is navy on the website
Leeds_Fox95 Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 It's not black it states the colour is navy on the website Oooer...looked black from where I was looking. Doubt they'll have royal blue home and navy away in that case then. Maybe white? Navy polo shirts are pretty much standard for most clubs? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
norfolk-fox Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 If you look at burnley home and Coventry away kit you can almost confirm the design just hope it's either blue and white trim or if gold is to stay please make collar blue

Navy polo shirts are pretty much standard for most clubs? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The colour of the training polo shirts will have nothing to do with kit colours. We didn't have a brown/grey training kit last season for example. Blue, navy and white are just standard training kit colours, people are reading too much into it.
Toffee_Fox Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 We are in a good situation with Puna. Decent kits with a good branding. The worst situation in my book would be to get Nike. They are trying to take over the world and as they do, they increase prices accordingly. Why people continue to support the brand it just do not know. They buy their competitor (umbro), then kill that brand off. A brand with massive football heritage, that basically gets in the way of their global domination. Heritage means nothing, it is just about brand domination. Then when their competitor brand is no longer an option, their kit prices suddenly go through the roof. How much for an England kit. Of course there is no price fixing, it just so happens that everyone just so happens to be selling them at the extremely expensive price. Nothing to do with the retailers knowing that if they do not adhere to the price they won't be designated stockists the following season . With Umbro gone, another option has gone. Limited choice brings higher prices and domination. Hate them with a passion. Greedy, happy to kill off heritage and determined to ensure that we live by this global brand. Everton have just moved from Nike to Umbro this season, so it definitely isn't killed off

Nike are an acceptable lifestyle brand.Puma Puma actually do some decent stuff but most of their range is poor because it's predominantly sold at Sports Direct.
CKB Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Absolutely nothing wrong with our Puma. You obviously like long, baggy, look absolutely stupid sleeves?
CKB Posted 25 June 2014 Posted 25 June 2014 Nike are an acceptable lifestyle brand. Puma Puma actually do some decent stuff but most of their range is poor because it's predominantly sold at Sports Direct. Yeah i agree Puma do decent stuff, it's genesis that provide the knock off crap
CKB Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 So it's looking very likely we will have that Wolves/Burnley/etc template.. I decided to mock up exactly how i think it will look based on 95% of that template design, the trim on the sleeves is based on other Puma/Genesis templates so it's probably a given that one of these kits will more or less be what we get

CKB Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 I like these and I'm still loving the Premier League badges on the sleeves. If them designs are similar to what we get then the shirt could look decent but will no doubt be ruined by genesis.. Oh and yes we all love the PL badges! lets hope they are on a City shirt for many years to come, forever would be nice!
muzzyisalegend Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Not sure when the new kit is officially released, but I couldn't access the replica kit part of the clubshop page today. Maybe a sign or just another problem with our crap website?
Rob1742 Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 Nike are an acceptable lifestyle brand. Puma Puma actually do some decent stuff but most of their range is poor because it's predominantly sold at Sports Direct. So Nike is not sold in Sports Direct?? I would think there is much more Nike in there than Puma.

Looks swish - in particular the top left but wouldn't be sad to see the one on the right!

ROB-THE-BLUE Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 So Nike is not sold in Sports Direct?? I would think there is much more Nike in there than Puma. Sports Direct don't have shares in Nike though unlike with Puma, hence why the Nike stuff is generally not as heavily reduced there.
Beliall Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 They look smart, just hope the actual quality of the kit improves yeah, better material please. this is too thin
Stadt Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 So Nike is not sold in Sports Direct?? I would think there is much more Nike in there than Puma. The nike clothing at Sports Direct is mostly plain
maynefox Posted 26 June 2014 Posted 26 June 2014 I think it's consensual to pay the extra money for the Premier League badges
