DB11 Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 Is it worth downloading the handheld version, read a few reviews and it seems pretty basic. Anyone else got it? I got FMH 2014 I think it was, or 2013, either way it kept me entertained for a few hours here and there but I quickly became bored.
Finnegan Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 Second season, Arsenal are selling Jack Wilshere for 7m, currently in their U21s. :xmasunsure:
Stadt Posted 12 December 2014 Posted 12 December 2014 table.jpg You've got to be quite high in the leaderboards for that
theessexfox Posted 13 December 2014 Posted 13 December 2014 Oh I didn't realise FMH was that different to the real thing, I like it anyway.
Vardinhio Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 New to FM2015, few queries. On scouting when I'm looking at a large list of players it seems there is no down arrow to move down the list? I have to drag the grey bar which means I'm jumping past loads/ Also, can you just type a players name in and find them?

Ozwin Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 The scouting scroll bar is an issue I have too. You can click the dot on the left hand side and use the arrow keys to go up/down but it's not the most practical option I know.
DB11 Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 Youri Tielemens just broke his leg. That's not very good. Oliver (starts at Athletico) is as good, if he's available?
Dan Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 I've had that problem with the scouting page also. Why have they even done that?
LCFC FOX Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 I also have the same problem so I'm guessing it's for everyone. I did actually think that was just my laptop being sh!t
Ozwin Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 60M for Lukaku. Paid 25M. Was tempting but I couldn't be arsed finding/nurturing a new striker. Loads harder to find gems this year with the scouting system. Inb4ACLinjury
Dan Posted 14 December 2014 Posted 14 December 2014 It is so hard to find gems. It's more realistic but it's not as fun IMO.

Vardinhio Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 Anyone recomend any decent tactics when starting with an abverage League one team? I concede way too many goals.
Finnegan Posted 15 December 2014 Posted 15 December 2014 That's not very good. Oliver (starts at Athletico) is as good, if he's available? I have plenty of cover. But Tielemans is the best player on the game, or at least, the player with the highest non static potential. Nobody is "as good."

Nobody is "as good." I know he is a -10 but I was referring to my experience in terms of who I've signed. I'm in 2019 and Tielemans hasn't reached his potential yet and Oliver is better than him; though as he is at the highest he will get I've just sold him to Man City for 60m
Vardinhio Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 Make your own tactic, if you're struggling then post it on here and we'll help you Thanks, I'm slowly getting the hang of it now. I'm Notts County and 4th in League one around November time. Signed Shaun Batt on loan from Leyton Orient and he has scored 15 in 17 games in all comps. They could really do with him as they are nearly bottom! Other notable signings are Chris Lester on loan from Bolton, Luke O'Neil on loan from Burnley and Lucas Neil on a free who in fairness right now isn't getting a look in as not match fit. Had a dreadful start but now I have a settled formation I've won 7 of last 8, drawing the other, just beat top of the league Doncaster away 1-0 too. Had until recently scored and conceeded the most in the league but defence is settling down now I'm playing more cautiously away from home. Highlight so far? Being 4-0 down at HT away at Chesterfield, going to a counter attacking style and coming back to win 5-4! Looks as though Roy Carroll will leave at end of the season, he's on £4k a week! Brilliant though! I'm playing a structured formation with a limited back four, three central ball winning midfielders, one supporting and two defending. Then two pacey wingers and Batt up front doing the biz!
Finnegan Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 I'm too tired to go in to detail but three ball winning midfielders, even with one of them on support, is dumb. You need a variety of roles. The trick to a stable defence isn't a whole bunch of defensive players, it's a balanced team. If you can't retain and use the ball when you win it, it'll keep coming back to you. Also, ball winners inherently drift from position to chase the ball. Try an anchor on defend, a deep lying playmaker and a roaming playmaker or box to box midfielder. Mix it up so you have a variety of roles.

Simmo86 Posted 16 December 2014 Posted 16 December 2014 I see and value your point but the players at my disposal are extremely limited in their quality and I have no means to replace them. You don't need to replace them, you need to change their roles/duties. 3 ball winning midfielders is pretty mental, teams will pretty much walk straight through you because these 3 will chase the ball rather provide a solid base. You need a variety of defend, support and attack duties throughout your shape to provide defensive stability and also to provide movement through the lines in attack.
