Danns has gone

Strange how times change, eh? A couple of years back Neil Danns was playing some great football. Honest, he was. Then we brought in some quality from ManU and Danns faded. Good luck to him at his new club. He has ALWAYS been supportive of the Leicester players. I know it's not much but he immediately tweeted the young players at City to congratulate them on gaining promotion.

I don't understand the St Ledger hate at all. It's like moaning about Logan. How can you moan about a player that has not played? SSL has had some serious injuries in the past few seasons. He was out for a very long time and yet through all that he stayed supportive and helped massively with the team morale. I watched him playing for the U21s vs Man City and well, to be honest, his attitude throughout that match was immense. A brilliant role model for the youngsters. It's also worth noting that SSL was first choice at the start of the season. His injury led to the breakthrough of Liam Moore and signing of Wasyl. So, yeah, he will probably go in the summer but to me, he has been a very good pro.

Same applies to Paul Gallagher. He was one of our best players a couple of years back. The squad improved and unfortunately he didn't. That doesn't mean he deserves all the criticism.

Danns Danns wherever he may be

He is the lord of the Danns said he

And he'll lead you all on,

Whoever you may be,

To think he's not as crap as he used to be

Know it? No? Just me then, takes me back to assemblies at Hazel Street.

To be fair, Gally is playing really well for Preston. That's his correct limit IMO.

Regarding Danns... another player I had very high expectations of. And he flattered to decieve.

Danns has done very well for both Huddersfield and Bolton. He's not a bad player, just not the Premier League quality that we need.

I totally agree with the Gally point. I think he's scored 4 in his last 2 games. He's been brilliant for them all year. I'm glad he's doing well. Always the joker at Leicester. Scored some absolute screamers as well. Good luck to him!

St Ledger & Danns are just the kind of modern footballers I don't like. Players of average quality who use twitter too much and pride themselves on being 'one of the lads'. Younger fans seem to identify with them and I don't think that's a good thing.

Danns has never been a good footballer. He had a short spell where he was the best of a shocking bunch but it was only a short spell and we were a very boring, average side with players who were showing little commitment.

But mainly I got annoyed with people using him as a stick to beat Pearson with - remember all the people that were having ago at him for not picking the saviour Danns? It went on for about a year and it was bloody annoying. Now the chickens have come home to roost and some individuals look really stupid.

I'm sure St Ledger is a great laugh at the pub but he's always struck me as a poor professional.

He's been an ok player in struggling sides. He's nowhere near good enough for a promotion chasing team, that has been obvious since he came to us, and there's never been any evidence in his career to contradict that.

And he was not in the Palace side and an ever present that came from no where to miss out on promotion.

He's not the sort of player that would fit into our game.

That don't mean he's bad and as someone pointed out NP was in for him when we got him.

I like some on here remember a player called Mark Bright he was shite for us check out his wednesday and palace stats.

It must be crap being a footballer like Danns. I mean I can see the appeal of being an honest, hard-working pro in the lower leagues, making the best of your limited ability because you love the game so much. Decent pay and a coaching role when you retire. Or obviously being a first team regular in the top 4, the money, glory and coke-fueled threesomes with Victoria Secret models. But being someone like Neill Danns, so indescribably meh, someone relegated to appearing in Capital One Cup 2nd round games and becoming more famous for your wet-fart acoustic songs on youtube....it must be such a hollow feeling.

I bet the 4th zero on his weekly pay slip sometimes smudges from all the tears.

You guys are crazy..Danns was one of our best attacking midfielders when he was here. True drink water and James are better, but they were not here then. I for one think he's a good player and didn't deserve the barracking he got just because he was GIVEN (would you say no) high wages that we eventually couldn't afford. Don't hate the player hate the game

I thought Danns was pretty decent for us. We just went and signed better, and he was probably on ridiculous wages thanks to Sven. Does come across as a real idiot on Twitter.

SSL isn't a bad footballer, but he isn't great either. He doesn't seem very professional to me; I'd imagine his lifestyle has something to do with the fact he's always injured.

Seemed a decent bloke and always looked (when i saw him) to be trying.

Good Luck and Thanks

Thought Danns was a decent player and we never quite got him going. He also probably wasn't as big a dressing room problem as some of Sven's other purchases. I've got no real beef with him. Best for both the club and him for his leaving and wage bill slashed so happy days in the end.

Good luck at Bolton.

Don't understand some of the vitriol aimed at Danns on here. Ok he never made it with us but is that any reason to come on here slagging him like a pariah ? He has moved on and good luck to him perhaps some of the trolls on here need to move on also. :(
