Lukey Boi Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Anyone off to uni and living away? Missing the majority of prem fixtures or are you staying at home?
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I come back on weekends to see family and watch Leicester and will continue to do so next year. Takes a bit of effort to travel but it's been worth it for me.
Xen Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I'm in second year at Loughborough at the minute, but off on placement down in Hampshire next year, so missing out Not too far from the London fixtures though, so should be able to get to a few more aways this year
Simmsy Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Been at Sheffield for the last two years and have kept my season ticket. It's more than do-able but have to miss the occasional mid-week match. With us being in the prem I should miss even less now though.
ousefox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 At Sheffield and been to all the home games when I've been to uni - struggle more when I'm at home in York! Had a season ticket when I was at Newcastle last year too which was a bit of a struggle and all the sky games ****ed me over, but still doable.
Mark_w Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Have been at Derby for the last year, but traveled back for all our Home games. Pretty near so it's not much of a problem.
NewburyFox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Lived in Lincoln for the past three years, and had a season ticket for the last two (and attended most home matches in my first year.) Its easy for me so not a big deal, 2hr direct trains. It depends where you're going, travel links, whether you can drive, etc.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 To soften the blow you'll get a stream every single week without fail anyway.
Fox92 Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I've got a season ticket and try and get back as much as possible when I can. Where I can't, my brother just goes instead. It's not bad for me from Manchester to be fair. Sky have done me over a couple of times, so have certain night games, but I went to 13 home games and 8 away games this season, around the same figure last year as well.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Being in Bournemouth means games are a 10 hour commitment at least, meaning that with more games being at funny times next year will be a real ball ache, especially night matches. I'd love a season ticket and I think the prices are very reasonable but its just a issue of geography for me!
Adster Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I've lived in Coventry for my second year and I've still managed to make it to the majority of home games on my season ticket this season. Moving back home to Burbage for the third year so I will be renewing my season ticket for this season no problem
Unabomber Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Still had my season ticket when I was at Sheffield, ahh coming back for a Tuesday game at midday those were the days.
ScouseFox Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 i had an st for years living here. i don't go to uni tho. students are gimps.
Matt Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I've lived in Coventry for my second year and I've still managed to make it to the majority of home games on my season ticket this season. Moving back home to Burbage for the third year so I will be renewing my season ticket for this season no problem Wow, that's some commute.
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Wow, that's some commute. He's still got to make the effort. There are plenty of others you could be criticising for their efforts to attend matches...
Matt Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 He's still got to make the effort. There are plenty of others you could be criticising for their efforts to attend matches... I was joking, Jeez.
Harry - LCFC Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 I was joking, Jeez. I know, just wanted to get that in there
StanSP Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Matt, I thought the same . How many people went Sheffield here?!
Haydos Posted 6 May 2014 Posted 6 May 2014 Matt, I thought the same . How many people went Sheffield here?! Yo. Couldn't afford a season ticket + travel though.
