Livid Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 How many more times do I have to read the fvcking word 'plastic'. Honestly, shut the fvck up about it. If you're a plastic, stop explaining yourself and crack on with it. If you're a 100% dedicated die-hard motherfvcker, then stop whining about plastics like a teary-eyed little girl and crack on with it. Jesus H Christ. This ^
Tincy Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Absolutely gutted I missed out, had a season ticket for 9 years except this season due to work commitments ;(

hackneyfox Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Not really the point of it is it. I have a Missus and a baby whether we are in the Championship or the Premier League. It's ok to miss Championship football for wife and kids but not PL? Mind boggling. My point was that while you're young you go to as many games as you can and then label others who don't as 'plastic'. When you're a few years older you realise that out the 30 of you that used to go there are now only 3 of you. The majority of those on here throwing the 'plastic' insult around probably won't be going in ten years time. People have a right to chose how they spend their money, I don't blame anyone for picking Premier games over Championship ones.
Grandad. Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 I might renew then again, I might not. Plastics can sweat it out. is this really the mentality of some fans? Plastic because they have brought a season ticket to support their team in the Premier League? Incredible. I can't believe what I have been reading, fans paying out good money to join you in supporting your club are being moaned at. It's people like the person I have quoted who will never be happy in football, seriously never happy. One season you're moaning where are people and when they do come you moan even more. I couldn't praise people enough who go week in week out every season, but don't blame people who couldn't justify paying over £500 to watch Championship football, die hard Leicester fan or not.
Babylon Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Even this place is full of organic polymers of high molecular mass.

Why wouldn't someone be able to justify paying £500 in the champ when they can in the prem?
davieG Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Absolutely gutted I missed out, had a season ticket for 9 years except this season due to work commitments ;( As did my son Might have to get a couple of those 5 match memberships if they are introduced as he was only ever going to get to 10 games or so.
Grandad. Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Why wouldn't someone be able to justify paying £500 in the champ when they can in the prem? I personally couldn't justify paying £500 to see Leicester play against Barnsley, Yeovil, Doncaster, Millwall, Bolton and so on, credit to all of the people who did but I would rather pay good money to watch Leicester v the best in this country. That might ruffle a few feathers but it seems that is how a lot have thought.

If you're a fan of the team though you should be paying £500 to watch your team not the team their playing.
Grandad. Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Not surprising seeing as your not a Leicester fan. If you're a fan of the team though you should be paying £500 to watch your team not the team their playing. Exactly, I'm not a Leicester fan. Some people clearly won't pay £500 to watch their team v Championship sides, that's fair enough to me, people want value for their money nowadays.
Bayfox Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Exactly, I'm not a Leicester fan. Some people clearly won't pay £500 to watch their team v Championship sides, that's fair enough to me, people want value for their money nowadays. I think people who go every week see if from the point of view, that they are there to watch Leicester, not the opposition, so a lot of these people jumping on the bandwagon, clearly are not 100% there to see Leicester. I have no real interest in who the opposition is, I'm going to watch Leicester, ok so if they are testing themselves against the best, fine. But a lot of people are there for the sole purpose of watching and backing their team. A lot of these people have brought tickets so they get to see Chelsea, Liverpool, Utd etc and I know that to be fact as I'm unfortunate enough to know plenty of fans who support those teams. Why not just spend £500 quid going to OT 5 times a season if that's your team. I have also had a Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton fans all asking if I will sort them a ticket for the game, even if it's in the Leicester end. Guess what my reply was.

There is enough people who have been fans for years, going to every game throwing about plastic insults and questioning support. It's not just the young fans, same with the pitch invasions, there was a fair number of grown adults who were on the pitch in the first invasion.
elangLCFC Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 The way I see it it's like if you had a mate in a band. You wouldn't pay stupid money to see his band playing shitty gigs, even if you wanted him to do well. However, if his band was playing a gig with other huge bands you might pay a bit extra to see it. You'd still be there to support his band but you're also paying to see the other good bands. That's what the PL STH are like. Now I've been a STH this season for my first time and I have nothing against fans who are getting their first this year, so people should just grow up and stop complaining
The Year Of The Fox Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 I must be a plastic fan because I've bought a season ticket for next year and have only been probably 50 or so games in the last 10 years! A total disgrace of a fan! Now read the facts........ I played Saturday League football from the ages of 16-33 so it would have been a waste of money getting one then. I stopped playing at 33 because my job was relocated 40 miles away and I had a young family so it wasn't fair on them to be out at the weekend regularly after not seeing my kids much in the week. Only now 4 years later my son has really got into football and we started to go down a lot in the second half of last season so I've decided to get a season ticket for myself and him next year. Before this I was a season ticket holder for 5 seasons in the members stand and also regularly travelled to away games. My favourite away trip being the midweek Zenith Data Systems Area Semi Final against Notts County which we won 2-1 courtesy of a winning diving header from Fiztpatrick, scored at the end with all the City fans, drenched from the rain that night! - A game no doubt many of the people on here calling people "plastic fans" are totally unaware even happened. If you're going to put reasons up for not having a ST, I'm going to be super critical of them. The reason I've never played Saturday league football?? So I can go to the City games
LanguedocFox Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 Even this place is full of organic polymers of high molecular mass. And some of them have other organic or inorganic compounds blended in. And, incidentally, it's worth noting that organotin compounds are particularly toxic. Just sayin'.
LanguedocFox Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 In all seriousness, I think it is appalling in this day and age that the only way to get a season ticket it to get to the ground early, queue and hope. Surely the club should have an online sales system that is robust enough to cope with demand: they could even have rented-in an online selling system for a week or so without breaking the bank.
Grandad. Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 The reason I've never played Saturday league football?? So I can go to the City games Being shit, is the main reason.
Babylon Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 I personally couldn't justify paying £500 to see Leicester play against Barnsley, Yeovil, Doncaster, Millwall, Bolton and so on, credit to all of the people who did but I would rather pay good money to watch Leicester v the best in this country. That might ruffle a few feathers but it seems that is how a lot have thought. Well there seems to be a distinct couple of groups who go to watch Leicester and those who go to watch the opposition then. I'm not bothered what people do, but there is lots of excuse making going on, at least you are honest about it. Next season when we get smashed by one of the big 4/5, I hope those people walk home happy in the thought they just saw some good football from the opposite as we got trounced. Some people clearly won't pay £500 to watch their team v Championship sides, that's fair enough to me, people want value for their money nowadays. If people think they will get a better season than the one we just witnessed, or even huge chunks of the season before then they might end up disappointed. Value for money wise it's going to take some beating. I'm really not arsed about the opposition in the slightest, I go to watch City and hope to see some decent football and that we have a good go. I appreciate not everyone is.
Babylon Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 particularly toxic. There are a few posters like that as well.
Mack Posted 9 May 2014 Posted 9 May 2014 I dread to think about the reaction from some of these new Season ticket holders if we have a bad couple of games. Mind you, some of them might well be cheering the opposition anyway?
