dimmerchant Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 I'm surprised some people are surprised demand has risen by us being in the Prem for the first time in ten years and coming off the back of a fantastic season...
kyleolly Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 We should have a plastic singing section PAP Plastic And Proud
stillwater Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Funny it says 12:30 Sold out, yet I got a season ticket for a mate online this afternoon at 15:15?
Reg Vardy Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Can anyone explain the difference between a non season ticket holder this season (me 18 games home and away) and a plastic fan? Everyone knew there were 7,000 season tickets on sale, everyone struggled to get through online and on the phone, there was a daily update on whats been sold, and it was obvious the best way to get one was go to the ground to buy one. Why did I buy two season tickets this season and not last? 1) We have played fantastic football this season. 2) I have spent more watching 18 Championship matches this seasonthan my new premier season ticket cost me. 3) I reckon the team will do fine next season. Now then if you didn't get a season ticket for next year I am sorry, but it really was in your hands, and you've nobody else to blame.Get over it.
Wrighty22 Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 I've been trying to work it out, I've got 2-3 people on my FB timeline who suddenly have season tickets after having never mentioned football before. I know we have been away a while but I didn't expect this, maybe the brand of the EPL has become so big it's passed me by in the last ten years of being in this division. Well this doesn't apply to me. You've known me over 7 years and now just happens a to be practical for me.
Guest MattP Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Well this doesn't apply to me. You've known me over 7 years and now just happens a to be practical for me. I wasn't talking about people like you don't worry
CORNFOX68 Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 I think anyone who wanted a season ticket has the right to apply, but the thing that is disappointing me is that the club haven't implemented any kind of priority system, from what im led to believe you could turn up and buy a season ticket, I live in st ives cornwall so realistically have to rely on phone/internet to try and get a season ticket, the phone has proved a waste of time, the internet i sat and waited for 2hrs last night got on site added ticket to basket, was looking for direct debit option and all of a sudden site was gone, repeated both this afternoon didn't get on again, if there had been some sort of priority system im sure i would have got a ticket, i have been to 15 games this season including sitting with away fans at forest and qpr, now will have a repeat of the phone/ internet experience for every game i try to get a ticket for, my phone bill for doncaster game alone was £18
kyleolly Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 With prices not really changing why didn't the club make season tickets available in March like they have done in previous seasons to avoid all the plastic nonsense
Voll Blau Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Getting my first ST in 3 years was purely about being part of the SK1 project for me. Would have bought if we'd stayed down too. Getting to the majority of games is going to destroy my bank balance given where I live but I reckon it's worth it. There were an awful lot of girning salads in the queue yesterday mind. I'm sure we'll be seeing some of them sport half-half scarves at a few of the "bigger" games.
ZeljkoKalac1 Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 I must be a plastic fan because I've bought a season ticket for next year and have only been probably 50 or so games in the last 10 years! A total disgrace of a fan! Now read the facts........ I played Saturday League football from the ages of 16-33 so it would have been a waste of money getting one then. I stopped playing at 33 because my job was relocated 40 miles away and I had a young family so it wasn't fair on them to be out at the weekend regularly after not seeing my kids much in the week. Only now 4 years later my son has really got into football and we started to go down a lot in the second half of last season so I've decided to get a season ticket for myself and him next year. Before this I was a season ticket holder for 5 seasons in the members stand and also regularly travelled to away games. My favourite away trip being the midweek Zenith Data Systems Area Semi Final against Notts County which we won 2-1 courtesy of a winning diving header from Fiztpatrick, scored at the end with all the City fans, drenched from the rain that night! - A game no doubt many of the people on here calling people "plastic fans" are totally unaware even happened.
lifted*fox Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 How many more times do I have to read the fvcking word 'plastic'. Honestly, shut the fvck up about it. If you're a plastic, stop explaining yourself and crack on with it. If you're a 100% dedicated die-hard motherfvcker, then stop whining about plastics like a teary-eyed little girl and crack on with it. Jesus H Christ.
Russ112112 Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 Let's get behind pearson and the boys it will be good to see stadium full most weeks instead of 2/3 full COYB

Number 6 Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 To be fair when the differential between renewing and buying new is £35* you can see why there perhaps isn't the incentive for people to stick around when we're in lower leagues. A larger reward for renewals may benefit future sales should we go down. I'm not advocating high prices though as I do think the cost of football is unfair these days. *Edit: plus queuing time.

We were there too, got completely soaked. Used to go in the old members enclosure at filbo. We were lucky to get 7000 in total most weeks
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 I have a friend who has bought a season ticket for the first time this year. He is not a leicester fan and is adamant we will get relegated next year. He bought two tickets simply to take his kid along. To have something to do. If by him buying this ticket, his son becomes a leicester fan than it's worth it!
sylofox Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 If we do well and look like staying up early they wil apply for planning permission to expand. Be supprised if they have not started looking into it yet. A season at the recock lads lol
Agent Fox Posted 8 May 2014 Posted 8 May 2014 I might renew then again, I might not. Plastics can sweat it out.
