Malcolm Glazer - Passed away

Very sad news indeed, i bet some of those nasty Man U fans are happy. RIP

Not all of us, those of us United fans who know the REAL truth behind the Glazer takeover, and why he did it will still mourn the passing of a former owner.

Lou Edwards was virtually a criminal, and could have poisined people, but Utd fans still mourned his passing as a great Chairman and owner, when the truth eventually comes out about the takeover, I'm sure a lot of people will see Malcolm Glazer in a better light.

Well this is awkward, for some reason I thought he was already dead.

What is the truth? As all you ever hear about is the massive debt that the glazer's saddled man u with ect. and his detractors spouting off about them, a case of the noisy minority? Generally interested as I've never heard any arguments from the pro perspective. Results wise you can't argue against the team results since they've gone in. (Except last year of course, but they moved to correct that in sacking moyes)

Did Glazer not saddle a debt free club with £600 million of debt? I thought he pretty much mortgaged the club to bail out his failing housing empire in Florida? The leverage he used would not have been allowed in American sport so he picked United because the English FA are a ridiculously soft touch - was that not the case?

I wonder how many jokes involving last season have already been created

See another Glazer has gone today............................if you include the one who used to build their trophy cabinet.

There's a lot more to a football club than results. The large majority of matchgoing fans were priced and/or forced out by Glazer policies - it's why you get this weird paradigm amongst United fans where people from Manchester are overwhelmingly against the Glazers yet the modern fans who measure a football club purely by the trophy haul think he was brilliant. Either way, he hasn't had anything to do with the club in recent years, if ever, and his death is unlikely to change anything at all.

I'm like that with 'Wookie'.

Being labelled similar to Leicesterpool is a new low.
