Steven Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 After ten long years today is the day. I think. The AGM takes place at the close of each season, at which time the relegated clubs transfer their shares to the clubs promoted into the Premier League from the Football League Championship.
Happy Fox Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 Seems like it we have just helped Inckley out now. http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/creating-chances/2013-14/hinckley-teams-aided-by-facilities-fund-helping-build-drainage-facilities.html Wednesday 04 June 2014 Hinckley kids can play on thanks to Facilities Fund Over 300 children will use the new facilities weekly thanks to a grant from the PLFAFF The new facilities were opened by Keith Nichols, deputy mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth Young footballers in Leicestershire will no longer be stopped from playing by poor weather thanks to a new drainage system that was funded by the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund which is set to benefit more than 300 players each week. The Richmond Park Sporting Hub was opened last week by councillor Keith Nichols, deputy mayor of Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council. The new facilities were made possible thanks to a £149,823 grant from the PLFAFF and a further £123,000 funding from Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council. The new drainage system under the grass pitches was fully tested at the opening by the pouring rain and came through with flying colours. Youth footballers in Hinckley braved the elements to test out the new and improved real grass pitches at the official opening of Richmond Park Sporting Hub. Junior teams from Green Tower FC Hinckley and the Achievers Inclusive Football team, who participate in the FA Just Play scheme and feed players on to AFC Barwell Inclusive Team to play in the County Inclusive league, will benefit from the new facilities and showed off their skills with a coaching demonstration on the new pitches. Since forming in January 2013, Green Towers FC Hinckley have been the fastest-growing club in the borough, starting from a mini-dribblers school to now 22 teams, supported by 24 coaches and playing in four leagues throughout the county, providing football coaching and playing opportunities for more than 300 children a week. "Facilities are a key driver for sports participation, which is why the Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund is proving such a valuable asset to grassroots sport nationwide," said John Denore, an independent panel member for the Football Foundation, the charity that delivers the PLFAFF, at the opening. "Facilities are a key driver for sports participation, which is why The Premier League & The FA Facilities Fund is proving such a valuable asset to grassroots sport nationwide. Right here in Hinckley, the community can now be proud of a fantastic example of what this funding from the Premier League, The FA, and the Government, via Sport England, is achieving across the country."

Finnaldo Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 If we go down, does that stay with us or do they remove it? I don't think they'd take the effort to remove the whole thing again, looking at that picture it looks quite fiddly to implement.
suffolk fox Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 Does the bloke in the cherry picker hover above the goal with a megaphone to announce whether the ball has crossed the line or not?
Lionator Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 If we go down, does that stay with us or do they remove it? They'll keep it but it wouldn't be used outside of the Premier League.
lgfualol Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 Here's hoping we get a few goals allowed through those next season.
Ross-Kemp Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 They've been preparing for this all week. A lot of extra cable has been ran into the ground.
jammie82uk Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 They'll keep it but it wouldn't be used outside of the Premier League. It's also allowed to be used in domestic cup games if the home side has the system installed

Mike the Metal Ed Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 It's also allowed to be used in domestic cup games if the home side has the system installed That's my main problem with the system. It should be a level playing field for everyone in the FA Cup, for example. A goal scored in the qualifying rounds is just as important as one in a semi final.

Langley Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 Does the bloke in the cherry picker hover above the goal with a megaphone to announce whether the ball has crossed the line or not? Yes. But he has to stay up there even when the game isn't on.

HEGGSY Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 No advertising boards... electric ones all the way round next year?Yep. Premier League and their bright lights Fvcking eyesores are what they are.
Jace Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 Wasn't the electronic advertising boards the reason we wasn't promoted in the previous season?
promised land Posted 4 June 2014 Posted 4 June 2014 All this fantastic technology at the stadium. Shame I can't get a mobile phone signal though........ I'm on Three and get 4G now in most parts of the city centre and the ground, makes a massive difference, 3G was next to useless at half time with the amount of people trying to get data all at once.
