StanSP Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 Decent goal from our Riyad. As much as I want him to play vs Sunderland, I doubt he will because Algeria play Wednesday too. Please bring him back in some form though, Nige. Pretty please.
ScouseFox Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 a half fit riyad mahrez playing by himself would be more threatening to sunderland than us playing the diamond
TomTom8 Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2aabix_eliminatoires-can-2015-algerie-1-1-ethiopie_sport Highlights of the first half. Oh boy. That pass from Mahrez...
Collymore Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 I'm watching the game. Like everyone else in this thread, I'm pretending Mahrez is tearing up Germany. They're playing ETHIOPA
ealingfox Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 No Mahrez for Algeria He'll blame Nige for this You fvcking twat. I didn't stream the match because of this post even though I was looking forward to it and Riyad has been Why did you do that?
Dan Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 The first. Textbook Mahrez pass. The commentators were saying it was Brahimi as well
Dan Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 He was on the end of a tough tackle at 0-1 as well, kept him down for a minute, was fearing the worst.
StanSP Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 He was on the end of a tough tackle at 0-1 as well, kept him down for a minute, was fearing the worst. Why? It's only a bench space he'll be freeing up
Guest ttfn Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 He was on the end of a tough tackle at 0-1 as well, kept him down for a minute, was fearing the worst. What difference would it make?!
benpicko Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 Really want to know Pearson's justification for playing King instead of Mahrez at the top of the diamond
Dan Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 I just predict Pearson will quit heroin in the next fortnight so he might start playing him.
ScouseFox Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 at least if he was injured he'd have a genuine reason to not play him
Guest ttfn Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 Maybe he rapes corpses. Seems like a legitimate reason to drop/unmatch somebody. After all dropping is just the unmatching of the football world imo
Torten Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 Watching the game and I really do think Mahrez could walk into most teams in the Prem. Only good enough for our bench though.
Dan Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 How wrong is it that Algeria are technically miles ahead of England.
lgfualol Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 You fvcking twat. I didn't stream the match because of this post even though I was looking forward to it and Riyad has been Why did you do that? EITHER DID I! I just came on Foxestalk to a bunch of new posts. Shit didn't realise he started. I swear I read he wasn't starting.
lgfualol Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 I bet Nigel will watch these clips of Mahrez and be like "Hm, well he clearly isn't backtracking enough and that forward pass was unnecessary when he could have instead safely passed it back to the goalkeeper". Seriously, Pearson is so very wrong not to play him. Especially not even against West Brom.
ealingfox Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 Someone please remind why the theory about Pearson holding back wide/flair/forward players is bollocks. It looks like Mahrez is going the same way as Gradel, N'Guessan, Waghorn, Marshall and Knockaert and Mahrez will undoubtedly prove to be the costliest. Only Dyer has really improved under him.
ScouseFox Posted 15 November 2014 Posted 15 November 2014 let's be fair nguessan, waghorn and marshall were awful for us more often than not, gradel was inconsistent but exciting but seemingly didn't fit, we hardly missed him. mahrez in on a complete different level, leaving him out is like ancelotti telling ronaldo to train with the kids or hodgson not picking sterling for his next england squad etc. he's our best player by miles.
