Bottom Three All Season Unless Nige Starts Signing Some Quality

Couldn't help having a close-season check to see what the old girl was predicting for the coming months.

When did you start referring to yourself in the third person?

I think we need a bit of self-discipine here. Next time this pr!ck starts one of his "We're doomed" or "Pearson out" threads, just don't post any replies. With any luck, he'll get bored and fvck off to the Florist forum, where he will be welcomed (and where his user-name will be accurate).

We can end this one now! No more replies, gets buried underneath another load of shit like the last one he did.

Quality players aren't available really yet, the world cup will delay the circus, with better players not moving till later in the window, it's only when these top players move that more players will come available.

We've fleshed the squad out OK, improved on Miquel & Dyer (although I'd like to retain Dyer too) in Campbell (if it happens) we've improved on Waghorn too.

I think we'll still see a couple more arrival, one up front & maybe one in middle and these could be unknowns like Mahrez & Knockaert or could be a Premier League 'name' (well, 'name' for a newly promoted side)

Patience, window isn't open yet, it's not Deadline Day, last time I checked

So long as Nugent stays we've already made a marginal improvement on the squad (though we still don't seem to have any obvious cover at RB, and De Laet hardly set the world alight when he was last in the PL), but promoted sides need to focus on improving their first choice eleven as a priority.

So I am slightly concerned that, through trying to flesh out the squad first - and I class Upson, Hamer, most likely Albrighton and Campell as players who are unlikely to establish themselves in a team that does well in the PL - without addressing many potential weaknesses in our first choice eleven (LB, CF for instance), we may end up having to make 8-10 signings and unsettling the balance.

It's important that NP knows his team from day one, important that he addresses our weaknesses with signings that stand a credible chance of doing a job in the PL, and even more important that he doesn't upset the chemistry in the squad. I'm quietly confident, but the early business has been underwhelming.

I'll be amazed if we don't survive our first season in the Premiership and make further quite significant progress.

Why?

I was banned from starting new threads too.. Although I had only recently registered, but obviously upset some higher power???... Sad really!!

Very it seems to me like a bit of an invite only boys club not a Leicester supporters banter site !!

The guy is entitled to his views, even though most of us would disagree with them.

IF, we play next season with the squad as it is at this moment, then in all probability we would be relegated. However, I am sure that when the World Cup is over, then Pearson will bring in a couple of big names, who's experience will make a massive difference, and ensure that we establish ourselves at top level.

Patience is the name of the game at the moment, and I am sure that at the right time, at the right price, Pearson will bring in the right players.   :yesyes:  :yesyes:

Why?

Because our club is in a better place than.

Villa

West brom

Qpr

Burnley

Southampton

And newcastle.

Because our club has a better manager than.

villa

Qpr

swansea

And west ham.

I don't get why people think we won't be competitive.

I would back last seasons squad to give a lot of sides a game.

Any additions is just a bonus. And we will make additions. Leave it until july to get a real picture of whats going on.

How do you know any of this? Unless you can see into the future then yoy don't. Pointless post.

If Van Gaal doesn't buy some quality soon Man U will be mid table at best.

At best? That's taking it a bit too far.

No this thread is pointless.

It's so someone gets a little bit of attention and people bite.

And I don't think this time it has had the desired effect.

We don't know that yet.

Besides, haven't we already brought in the "right players" in the form of Upson, Albrighton and Hamer?
